Metal Gear Solid V To Lose Codec Conversations!?

For anyone following the site on a regular basis, Gamersyndrome has focused (unintentionally so) on the crazy musings of one Hideo Kojima, in revealing more info on the next exciting installment, MGS V. The Metal Gear Solid series has always been known for it’s righteous blend of cinematic styling and verbose dialogue, to create an experience some criticize as being a little too much story and not enough gameplay.

In a shocking turn of events, this may be a thing of the past for the MGS series.

I seriously hope not. But then IF this is really happening i don't really mind. I am that hardcore Metal Gear fan. I can tolerate even the biggest change.

Not having the codec conversations would be like remaking Ocarina of Time without an ocarina
!

Ratty4616d ago

Bad comparison. MGSV isn't a remake.

I hope not too but comes as absolutely no surprise. Destroy all expectations for this one people. That way you will be less disappointed.

I wont be disappointed, no matter what happens. It is Metal Gear! :3

Snake Nooooooooooooo!!!

All jokes aside, I hope not. I really like the conversations via codec.

as long as the reason isnt to make it more "accessible" but to improve, then i dont mind that much either, although they were a blast

If this is true, I am going to die.

Snake: "Otacon, do you read me? Hello? OTACON! Dammit..."

LOL. Funny. The game clearly has to feature SOME way of communicating with intel and advisors tho. Wouldnt seem right, if it didnt.

I don’t think I’ve ever quite experienced an unfinished game that was slapped together with duct tape and construction paper to be sold as a finished product, basically making you replay the same missions and include a story that clearly was missing so much of the plot, like I did with this game.

I’m actually shocked that it doesn’t get calls out for this more.

It did. But the gameplay loop is still pretty good.
