When Nintendo announced the new addition to their already successful gaming family, it was a surprise. With all the hype of next generation coming in a few months, its easy to forget the 3DS and what amazing games it has, not to mention what’s still to come..
Retailing at £109.99 at GAME, the new console is aimed at under 7′s who are now able to play all the games on 3DS safely without fear of damaging their long term sight. As well as this, people who found the 3DS or 3DS XL a bit too pricey may find this to be an attractive alternative. Cleverly, it also releases the same day as Pokemon X and Y, which will definitely boost sales.

Black Ops still holding off Red Dead, interesting. Crazy to think that Mario Party almost sold as much as Red Dead did.
Nintendo hardware up.. Playstation hardware down..
Software numbers definitely seem low this week overall.
Red Dead didn't do that great in Japan and the Switch went up in sales. Probably from people getting excited over Pokemon Let's Go. Dragon Ball Fighterz is still hanging in there. Good for it.

13/20 are Switch titles, 16/20 are on Nintendo hardware. Japan really loves the Switch right now.
I'm going to prove that the 2DS is absolutely useless by giving you some simple instructions on how to make your own 2DS!
Step 1: Find a cheap 3DS online that costs as much as a 2DS
Step 2: Buy it
Step 3: Turn the 3D on the device off.
BOOM! You have your very own 2DS! That's not all, the DIY version of the 2DS can also play games in 3D (if you want)! It also isn't flat - you can fold it which allows for it to be more portable!
