That would cost a fortune and certainly too much for a handheld. And it would weigh a tonne too. Unless you are being sarcastic in which case ok then.

That is prolly the Tightest handheld ever (in the Pic).. Too bad it wont actually look like that.. Mini Blu ray, Dual analog sticks.. All good.. What they should do is..Team up with multiple phone companys.. For this simple reason.. Remote play.. Not only will it be a phone.. but instead of a WIFI connection where you have to find the internet.. Phone companys supply the internet over the phone.. So with your PSP cell phone.. YOu could listen to music watch movies play games just like the orig psp.. but now you can have normal cell phone funtions, Plus remote play anywhere.. also add in a decent vid camera like on most cell phones .. What do you get Remote play vid chat with your buddies on PSN.. PSP cell phone plans couldnt be more than the Ifones but you would get soo much more because well its still a PSP .. Get firefox to do your web browsing and that could be the biggest thing since slice bread.. put in a decent size HDD and make all PSP games DL from PSN or in store buys.. No Sticks or anything like..

and for those who cant afford something like that.. you have the cheaper version just like the PS3 models..

1. All the buttons a regular playstation controller has to stop awkward ps1 and ps2 controls
2. PS2 classic games to play
3. A faster web browser
4. AT LEAST 512MB of RAM - its one of the most annoying things with game systems. It really help to future proof a system by adding plenty of RAM
5. Leave plenty of holes for hacking to allow Nintendo emulators :)

An open system instead of trying to stop people from hacking their PSP's let them. I wish I bought 2 PSP's so I could have all the old emulators.

All of these things could be implemented into the PSP 2 without the cost skyrocketing since it shouldn't come out until around 2012 or later it has the 10 year life expectancy.

It should have bluetooth,touch screen,upgradeable mini graphics card and ram,better flash support,built in hard drive,4000mah battery,removable faceplate,scratch resistant and a screen capable of HD resolutions

just please dont have it come out at a 300 dollar pricepoint again... i loved the psp but that killed my wallet lol.

I would also like to see a Formula 1 style Helmet visor for the PSP screen, you know when they get bugs splattered on the visor at 300km/h the driver ripps of a layer of plastic and hey it's a clean helmet again. There should be like 50 of those built in to the psp screen.
Oh and maybe they can make the PSP output 1080P, wireless HDMI.

I just want:

PSN functionality to cross over to the PSP so it'll be like one cohesive service.
The Camera built in so EVERYONE will have it and we can video chat, and it might act as a portable version of the Eye.
The Same with the GPS but I doubt that'll happen.
The ability to wirelessly copy and upload media to the PS3.
Finally, for it to have double the power of the PS2 so I can play Nocturne, and Devil May Cry 3 on my PSP :D

I want to see a touch-Screen because I like my Itouch and I think the touch screen would work great on the next PSP. I also want the R2/L2 buttons on the next PSP. A built in Mic I think would be great for online gaming. I also want another analog stick and I want this time them both to be more of a stick overf a nub. I also think having a motion sensor feature on the PSP2 would be great. I really think games like Loco Roco would be better with it added.

I want to be able to use it as a Harmony/PSP2 remote. Touch screen and IR are a must. If I can see a tv guide on my PSP2 then double ++

It seems that with technology we never get a chance to enjoy it. It is always on to the next bigger and better thing. I love my PSP. I guess there is always room for improvement but just when I get use to this, a new one comes out. I hope Sony just improves on the existing psp slim for right now. I guess if a new one were to come out I would want it to be my all in one. Cell phone, video camera, camera, net browser, pocket pc, video games, mp3 player, video player. Do that an d maybe I'll consider a change. lol. Hopefully any future changes will also keep backwards compatibilty in mind(As far as game play and video playback are concerned). I would hate to spend all my money on something that I can't use on the future PSP. All that can't be that hard to do. lol. Heck if they did that I would gladly spend more money for it.

Now that Jim Ryan is gone just need to remove Herman Hulst from his position! And maybe give Shuhei the position he deserved.

This gen hasn't been the best for games, last gen consoles are still out there and now there's been talk of the PS6 and Xbox Two for a year or so. Many games this gen will be ported to next gen and the cycle will continue. The re-release of the Neo Geo AES+, games on cartridge for £70 ($95), gaming is going back in time. Gaming has gone pricing mad with the high cost of games, consoles and controllers. The men and women at the top are clueless.

It’s always interesting to hear behind-the-scenes stories like this, especially involving veterans like Shuhei Yoshida and leadership figures like Jim Ryan. That said, there are usually multiple sides to decisions at that level. It could be less about not “listening” and more about differences in long-term vision for PlayStation. Yoshida played a huge role in shaping the brand, so whatever the reason, his impact is undeniable.

If true, and I'm inclined to believe it is, it goes to show that Sony lost their way when they became more western/didn't respect the PlayStation origin story. Andrew House and Jack Tretton did great work, but they also didn't try to fundamentally change the PlayStation DNA. Ryan oversaw the death of Japan Studio and a live service direction.

I miss the first three generations of PlayStation. The way they turned PS3 around, we knew they meant business. We were all worried for a bit there around launch. Eventually from 2008 they started shifting slowly. But since Yoshida was fired, it's never been the same. Still enjoy my PS5 daily. I got a backlog dating back to PS2 lol So I'm fine but new games aren't as appealing anymore.

It seems like we were thrown on to the worst timeline possible where everything is too expensive and the wrong people were put in positions that makes the world a shitty place. We could have had Shu as the head of PS but we got the shitty alternative. Same goes for everyone in power around the world. Doesn’t matter the company or country the majority of us got the shitty picks and the world is declining like never before. I do think PS can come out of this because of their studios, talent and IP but they need someone more in touch with gamers leading things like Shu was. They’re still the best place for console gaming imo but it could be much better than it is especially without the massive live service failures. The rest of the world I have a lot less hope for right now. Hopefully the pendulum swings back towards the good ole days but I’m preparing for the worst.

There's another guy who recently "retired" as CEO of another large gaming company, after doing a dismantling job as lead for well over a decade.

seems legit, the business man, fires the one who has ideas to move the business forward.

Jim Ryan is the reason why we are entering year 6 since the PS5 launch and many of us don't feel like the PS5 has gotten started as yet.

I hope going forward, we will see a return to form.
