Does this matter as much as it used to? Not as big of a gap as last time too.

Does it matter? No console is getting left behind. Fans of whatever console they choose will be happy and that's all that matters.

I have to be honest, being as both systems are sold out for day one...it really doesn't matter when the release date is, other than it determines how soon I get to play.

MS didn't "let" Sony do anything and Sony didn't need any help or advantages of any kind in any regard. MS can't seem to get out of their own way. I guess it's true what they say about the 3rd system launch curse. As a gamer that wants this industry to continue on until I part this spinning rock. I want all the consoles to do well enough to keep warranting new hardware generation after generation but there is no denying MS has an uphill climb and they didn't "let" Sony do anything.

Pretty sure it won't make any difference, both will sell out in the lead up to Xmas, all that matters is how many units both can produce.

could care less about all the comments from fanboys..even if it was next year,i would still wait for ms.alot of people i know really never cared about the release date...cos nothing imo was going to change my purchase....the fact is its launching in nov..i got to move my ps3 and 360 to create space for it now .....

No they didn't. They didn't have a choice. M$ can only release in 13 territories. Sony on the other hand are releasing in over 30 territories.

It's common sense that M$ is not prepared as well as Sony.

Title should read "Micro$oft has to let Sony go first."

In reality it will mean nothing. But for marketing it means everything. It means Sony won every single "pre" round till launch.
