Edge:Outlast’s asylum setting might be hackneyed, but don’t let that fool you into thinking Red Barrels’ debut isn’t capable of surprise. In fact, the studio, founded by former Prince Of Persia: Sands Of Time, Uncharted and Splinter Cell developers, has done for modern horror what Visceral did for sci-fi with Dead Space. Rather than riff on Alien and The Thing, however, Outlast taps into modern horror-movie exemplars such as The Descent and Rec.
Footage from what appears to be a prototype build of Red Barrels' first-person psychological survival horror game, Outlast, has emerged.

This sounds interesting. Red Barrels is teaming up with Lionsgate and renown horror producer Roy Lee to develop a feature film anchored in the rich and horrifying universe of the Outlast series.

Very safe list of horror games. I would argue that Amnesia Machine for Pig was not that great. Dark Descent was much a much better game.
Far better games have been released in this genre (Dead Space Remake, Alien Isolation, Alan Wake 2 etc).
True horror. PS4 day one.
WOW! Never thought I'd see a 9/10 from Edge with this game! Happy camper I am, since this is my most anticipated PC game right now!
