Review: Flashback | Metro Gaming

Remakes are the new black. A bold statement, but you’d be forgiven for thinking its true. Everyone seems to be at it, with every release schedule update playing host to yet another name from yesterday being remade, reborn or rebooted. Unlike the Hollywood efforts in the same regard videogame remakes are often very similar to their predecessor, often mimicking them entirely and simply adding a new spit polish to the visual quality. I have zero faith in the execution after how bad that remake was.

Doesnt need a sequel.

Yeah.
Highly doubt they're going to catch lightning in a bottle twice.
It was very much a product of it's time. Unless they have some real talent, we're going to end up with a disappointing, needless sequel.

This game will no doubt prove a time capsule of memories for some and nothing can ruin that. However, for those of you who have never played the original, Flashback Mobile offers a somewhat different experience.

This game was cutting edge on debut. I want to think I may have had this on 3DO, can’t remember. Maybe SegaCD.
