Platinum Games hinted recently that Bayonetta 2 may release further into 2014 than some would have hoped, saying that the game hasn't 'reached its peak' in terms of development yet.

TNS: Hideki Kamiya recently hosted a reunion and drinking party with former Bayonetta devs, confirming even more PlatinumGames resignations.

Platinum Games faces a talent drain as five senior developers, including directors behind Astral Chain and Bayonetta 3, reportedly leave the studio.
Never a good sign. They lost Hideki Kamiya, which was arguably the top tier of their talent list. So, seeing this is like the writing on the wall. They got Ninja Gaiden 4 coming, so hopefully that’ll deliver and keep them going.

Richard Bailey Jr. of The Koalition writes: 2024 was a special year for new game announcements and reveals across various broadcast industry events. From the official return of the Virtua Fighter series to the revival of several Capcom franchises like Onimusha, there is no doubt that the future looks bright. With this in mind, I wanted to put together a quick list of a few game reveals I fully expect to be announced within the next 12 months of this calendar year.
I would love it if Capcom would throw a curve ball shock everybody with a Dino Crisis remake. I would day one the game if it came true.

Sounds like its in pre alpha state.
For the people who dont know, these are pretty much the stages of game development.
Planning: Pretty much the brainstorm section.
Pre alpha: Parts of the game are playable.
Alpha: The game is fully playable with all its gameplay elements.
Beta: gfx are starting to look decent, framerate, big game breaking bugs.
Crunch time: the finishing touches and smaller bugs.
Final product: The game as its ships to consumers.

I don't mind waiting a little longer for a more polished, well rounded game in the end.
Don't rush things.
Well it coming 2014 so I can wait
Even more impressed with the game if its that early. 1080p 60fps, off tv play, best looking action game ive ever seen. Honestly its what i had expected from a new GoW on ps4 given it ran 720p 35-45 fps on ps3.
If the unoptimized wii u can pump those results out less than 2 years after launch, i honestly dont care how bad the specs look on paper.
Yea prolly because it's on the wrong system.
