The controls was good - don't see what the whining was about. The game itself is beautifull. The environments was great - the gameplay was above average. But the damn interfere as you go that keep on changing your missions every minute - that killed this game for me. It was like having a backseat driver who just would not let you go on and play the game - who controlled everything except for the controller.

They should patch the game and give the player the freedom to play it for longer than two minutes without being interrupted by a cutscene or new objective or something... then this game would be awesome. As it is - thankd devs - you really spoiled this game with your stupid interfere-as-you-go system.

I played Lair and clocked it twice on both difficulties. Three of my friends have done the same, damn even my 12 year old cousin clocked it as well with no problems.

So my question is : are we just gaming gods, or are the people who complain about the controls just crap at playing or are they just not playing it right?

I don't have any stocks with Factor 5, and I don't know the developers personally so I have nothing to gain by saying these things. To be honest I couldn't give two s**ts if people buy/play the game or not. I liked it and that's all what matters. (As you can see, I don't buy games just based on reviews)

In addition, I've seen some of the high scores posted on the leaderboards in-game, and they are crazy! If the controls were so crap, how are these people (and there is quite a lot of them!) getting these scores?

In my humble opinion, I think it's probably one of the first games I had which actually made me think I was playing something different this generation, rather that playing the same game from last generation but just with improved graphics and sound. I've played the Ace Combat series to death and seeing some of the reviewers saying that Ace Combat wasn't repetitive but Lair was is simply ridiculous. I love the Ace Combat series but I'm not stupid. You shoot air targets, ground targets and a few escort missions and thats your lot.

Just want to hear some peoples answers to my questions because I really don't understand what the fuss is about, I can't be THAT good at gaming that very few people can control the dragon with a sixaxis efficiently but I can?

People couldn't grasp this sixaxis..so from there on in most right away say "the game sucks".Try it again with the new patch I'm sure it's not as bad people say.I enjoyed this game and still continue to.

it wasnt about the controls, they didnt help, but the games targeting, story telling, and complete lack of mission guidance made this game suck.

I personally didn't think the game was all that bad. The control scheme with the sixaxis was quite enjoyable, but, is very reliant on the fact that the motion sensor in the controller is working properly. I thought the game as a whole, felt alittle rushed and unfinished.

This game was rendered by the Cell itself, the RSX didn't help it at all, the Cell + RSX combo will murder any system out there.

Lair has the best soundtrack of a major game flop that I can remember. I still listen to it from time to time on Youtube.

Haze broke me. I was such a massive fan of Timesplitters that I didn't believe for one second they could make such a generic, sub-par game. It even had a couple of neat ideas, but nothing that could save it from utter failure.

I learnt a harsh lesson from that game.

The Order itself wasn't disappointing to me. I had a lot of fun playing it. The disappointing part was how short the game was...It needed at least 5 more hours.

The order 1886, im sure Sony said that would be a franchise. I also remember the developer saying he would take all the feedback and develop future title to be better

For me the biggest disappointment with The Order other than it being over a bit too quickly, having a rushed ending and not having any replay value is that I actually wanted more and never got it. The cliffhanger it ends on feels more like I just reached the middle or end of the first act of a game, not the ending proper. A sequel that picked up where it left off was sorely needed and we did not get that. For what it is, I actually really enjoyed The Order. It probably helps that I got it for $8 on a PSN Flash Sale rather than spending $80CAD on it on release, but I got value for the money I spent.

Knack should not be on these list. The game hit the mark on accessibility and ease of access to children at the BEGINNING of the PS4s life and delivered a very good sequel that improved on the first.

My 7 year old started Knack 1 when he was 4 he now plays and loves Knack 2 with my 4 year old.

There were stinkers on every platform. Xbox and Xbox 360 had quite a few and the reason why there are so few on Xbox One is because there have been hardly any exclusives this gen. Given the sheer number of exclusives Sony has had over each of the consoles, 15 games over nearly a quarter of a century is hardly anything to write about.

lair and knack are not bad games

I actually kind of enjoyed Knack. It isn't the greatest game ever but I knew what I was getting when I bought it. I think people were expecting it to be this hardcore AAA killer app probably due to it being a launch title, and it just isn't that. On the other hand, that it was released as a launch title is why anyone paid any attention to it at all, so maybe it worked in the game's favour afterall.

Haze was fun, i liked the concept.

Haze was my first ps3 shooter and should not be on this list. The multiplayer lobbies were always full and I would play for hours. The campaign was that bad either.

for some reasons , I started Twisted Metal with TW3, after I loved it, I tried going to TW1 and TW2, I wouldn't say I didn't enjoy them, however , I find TW3 better. maybe starting it as the entry game in TW was the reason I like it so much.

People need to get over the motion controls in Lair. They patched it to have regulat controls like a month later and the game was tremendously gorgeous and fun like an HD starfox with dragons.

As soon as I see a negative title I immediately know it will have Gamingbolt's stink all over it.
