On Aug. 22, Nick Konkle, Gameplay Designer at Zenimax, talked with Examiner about the differences between Skyrim and ESO – specifically in terms of gameplay and combat.
Season Zero: Dawn and Dusk is now live for all platforms (including PC/Mac, Xbox, and PlayStation), kicking off a new era for The Elder Scrolls Online. The massive difference is, Skyrim is a one off payment
The difference is that people were actually Excited for Skyrim and will be playing it for a long time.
Current ESO sucks. It was almost like old school MMO in which everybody just stands there and wait for cooldowns. Good thing they're trying to break away from the third person combat system but the fact that the game was at first based on that crappy gameplay they showed... they'll need to fix a lot of crap.
Looking forward to the new Everquest game instead. Voxel based MMO.

I love ES games, but imagine how buggy this game will be since it's an online ES game. Have fun with that.
