We live in a day and age where peer pressure is more apparent than it should be. Can you ever be too old to play games like Pokemon?

The Nintendo DS has some amazing titles available. Here are some of the best nostalgic games that every child of the DS era grew up playing.
I enjoyed both Rush games, I did think the action was sometimes too fast to see what was coming up in terms of hazards though, which meant replaying the same stage a bunch of times, other than that they were enjoyable, good special stages, 3D sections and bosses for the most part.
DS is one of the best consoles of all time. Such a rich library of software
Zelda were all glorious on it.

Too old for Pokemon? psshh I'm 21 and still can't wait for X and Y
Misty wasn't that small in the anime.
Oh wait, I forgot this: https://www.youtube.com/wat...
I see this as mental maturity. I just can't watch Spongebob, Dora the explorer (didn't watch it but you get the point) and enjoy it the same way I used to, even if I tried. Same reason with Nintendo games. I'm just mentally unable to enjoy children games as I used to.
My view is play what you like. Personally, I still play Pokemon. It's still one of my favorite RPG series. That battle system is just as addicting to me as it was when I played red/blue. As long as the Pokemon games continue to be high quality, I have no problem playing them.
I also think that one game does not make a gamer. By that I mean, a person liking the Pokemon series means nothing in regard to immaturity or whatever playing Pokemon equates to nowadays. I'm a pretty well rounded gamer who likes many different genres, and has a decent number of the "mature" or "real" games that people go on about. Pokemon and Mario are merely two of many parts of who I am as a gamer, so it's only natural that I would be opposed to any sort of brand or maturity judgement associated with playing them.
I'll end this little rant the same way I started it. Play what you enjoy playing. It's as simple as that. Don't let other people or those little squares in the corner of game boxes dictate what you play. I've always viewed portable systems as more personal/private anyway.
