DICE's Patrick Bach has revealed how the studio managed to convince EA to sign off on a follow-up to 2008 fan-favourite Mirror's Edge, explaining that the key to getting the game green-lit was simply down to developing a good enough pitch.
"You need to have a great pitch," Bach told VideoGamer, discussing how the studio talked EA into letting it develop a new Mirror's Edge game at Gamescom.
"The interesting thing is that it's not about EA blocking DICE, it's about DICE not... Imagine this: it's your own money. What do you want to bet on? You want to bet on something that you know will be great. You can't just bet on a name. You need to have like, what's the concept?"

EA is laying off an unknown number of individuals from across its Battlefield teams, including workers at Criterion, Dice, Ripple Effect, and Motive Studios, IGN understands.
When logic meets EA it generates anti-matter ..... so try not to apply it in any meaningful way. Entropy is what matters in there !!
cue the apologist saying that these are mostly just contractors hired for this specific project bla bla bla

DICE is quickly banning cheaters in the Battlefield 6 beta, with a developer confirming that they are aware of the hacks.
They need to add an option for crossplay with other console players only. Otherwise I’ll definitely deactivating crossplay altogether. These cheaters on PC are already ruining this game and it’s still a few months from general release.
Developers should find a way that if they detect your cheating in a game, have it so none of your shots register against other players, you can't kill anyone. Bascially, you would be useless in that game LOL.

Halo veteran Marcus Lehto's studio, Ridgeline, will now be joined by DICE on the project.
then we must thank dice for the sequel
I hope this comes out next year.
Thx DICE
