Just to set the record straight, I was born the year that the original Flashback was released. Needless to say, I can’t say I ever played the classic sci-fi game, so I came into this remake blind. All I knew was that it was a side-scrolling platformer that was known for its unique story and decent gameplay. Luckily, the original version is added to this package, meaning you can revisit if you’re a fan or experience it for the first time if you’re not. We’ll come back to that, though.

GOG is giving away Flashback as part of their Summer Sale. All you have to do to add Flashback to your collection is go to the GOG website or the game’s page.

I have zero faith in the execution after how bad that remake was.
Doesnt need a sequel.

An award-winning action-adventure game, developed by Paul Cuisset in 1992, Flashback holds a Guinness record and is one of the first games to use rotoscope technology for realistic animations. In it, you travel the universe in the year 2142 with amnesia stricken protagonist Conrad while he dives headlong into an insidious alien plot. This game will no doubt prove a time capsule of memories for some and nothing can ruin that. However, for those of you who have never played the original, Flashback Mobile offers a somewhat different experience.
This game was cutting edge on debut. I want to think I may have had this on 3DO, can’t remember. Maybe SegaCD.
