Popularized by Doom in 1993 and still making video game haters gnash their teeth today, first-person shooter games are the best thing to happen to gamers since pizza rolls. So here are 15 underrated first-person shooter games you may have missed.
Although the late 2000s Turok wasn't my favorite, I would love a new entry. Open world survival with shotguns and dinosaurs. Not sure how we'd get the fusion cannon, but that would be pretty sweet too.
Lol
All of these games are pretty much universally praised. Outside of Timeshift I literally own all of these.
XIII, The Darkness 2, Far Cry: Blood Dragon, Timesplitters: future perfect, Bulletstorm are awesome games
I played them all, they are all good in their own way
I used to be obsessed with FPS games

Windows Central: "Titanfall 1 is being sunset, taken off storefronts by EA. While the servers remain live for now, one has to wonder just how much time it has left. I look back and pay tribute to the last "twitch"-styled shooter I ever truly loved."
It seems they were blowing away about how good the game is.
have you seen Titanfall?
The game looked great, and I hope someday it comes to PS4 also so that more people can enjoy this.
I'm going to get gutted like a fish for this but I honestly don't see the big deal over this. I mean I'd understand a little hype here and there for being a next gen game and all but I mean the response has made it look like the next best thing. All those awards at E3 and things like WatchDogs, The Division, Destiny, inFAMOUS SS looked better. The game dosen't even have a single player aswell, if a game dosen't have multiplayer these days it ends up getting marked down when it comes to reviewing this sureley when it comes to this it should loose points for not having a single player, I mean to spend a lot of money of a game with no single player at all.
To me it's a standard FPS game with mechs...added wall running from Brink and Jetpacks seen in Halo. Nothing jaw dropping where it's like "I havent seen anything like this before".
I'm not saying I "hate" it, I like the look of it and will try it out but I just don't see the big fuss over it when there is better games coming to Next gen.
Please, please, please when replying go easy, it's my opinion. Oh and please no "if it was on the PS4..." bullcrap. I'm judging the game, not the platform it's on for now.
I am a huge fan of Mech based games and love the concepts I am seeing in this game. So excellent, this will be a day one buy when it releases.
