''My opinion''
if i'm a graphic w#$% i'd upgrade my PC .. i see no point from this article

thirtyandnerdy4647d ago

Haha, if you've already invested in a PC, yeah I'd probably agree that it'd be awesome to upgrade your rig. However, for console gamers without PC's, there are decisions to be made. =)

GameNameFame4646d ago

I got PC but buy console for exclusives and no PC port games.

Most MS exclusive get ported to PC or are timed exclusive.

MS halo and gears, but Bungie left and Halo is scoring a lot lower in reviews. Gears IP is owned by Epic so they can do whatever they like even go multlat or make new games for PS3/4 like bulletstorm.

Crytek is only contracted for one game. Black Tusk has no record some unknown studio. Only leaves Turn 4.

It is an easy choice for me.

thirtyandnerdy4647d ago

P.S. if you read the article, you'll also see that "visual" has nothing to do with graphics, but rather a chart that makes it easier to see what titles are coming out for what consoles.

negative4647d ago

Yes people need to start reading the articles before commenting.

Now with that said, can I have some bubbles please?

malokevi4647d ago (Edited 4647d ago )

u got it!

Can anyone explain to me why Minecraft is listed as a PS4 launch exclusive?

black0o4647d ago

1st of all i only care if u compare AC on x1 vs ps4 that 'd help me
but exclusive it depend on the type of the engine used type of the game FPS,TPS...etc

u can't simply compare KZ to ryse or knack to KI ... there are to many variables u need to conceder

WorldGamer4647d ago

Bubble up for correcting this guy. Some people just don't know how to read. Very sad.

kayoss4647d ago

@malokevi
I think for next gen (PS4, XBox one, and wii U), Minecraft is exclusive for PS4. For current gen console, it will be on PS vita, ps3 and it's already on Xbox 360. I think thats the idea but i might wrong.

It's just a chart. A visual representation of the launch line ups for both new consoles.

Has nothing to do with teh graphics.

Not even sure how you came up with this. I new it was a chart before I clicked the link...

black0o4647d ago

once i saw pic been loaded i closed it and said what's on my mind ..

1lawrence4647d ago

So u can upgrade uncharted nice

black0o4647d ago

FYI i'm a Big PlayStation FAN i play BF3 on ps3 tho my PC can run it on high lvl

falviousuk4647d ago

This list is incorrect, its listing some of the PS4 games as exclusive when they are allready available on PC, and its listing minecraft as a ps4 exclusive if im reading the chart right.

SIRHC134647d ago

It's stating exclusives that will only be available on either console, PC is irrelevant in the chart.

Minecraft X1 won't be available at launch like the PS4 version.

falviousuk4647d ago

except its allready available on pc and xbox 360. Or are we now using the its exclusive on next gen now to pad out the numbers. The list shows minecraft as a PS4 exclusive and counts it as such if you follow the chart and colour coding. Which is incorrect. And PC is irrelevent when it has to do with playstation games, but very relevent when it concerns xbox games.

The flippy floppy nature of the soy fanboy knows no bounds

XB1_PS44647d ago (Edited 4647d ago )

They're listing them as games that are coming out on day 1. They're not all "Exclusives" per say, just exclusive to day one of that console compared to the other console. I assume Minecraft will also be out on Xbox One, but it's exclusively available on day one to PS4.

@SIRHC13 Got to it first.

spaceg0st4646d ago

@falviousuk

You're an idiot. There's a reason why you only have 3 bubbles. Now stop talking, oh wait... You're out of bubbles, too late.

G20WLY4646d ago

Mate, do you really wanna take out games that will be on PC too?

Do you think that will help the case for XBone? It just won't...

Also, I'm curious; is a "soy fanboy" an uber fan of soy sauce??! :/

PONTIAC08G8GT4646d ago

Not sure why people think that if its on PC its not exclusive. Titanfall is an XBOX exclusive. No other game system (PS4, Wii) has Titanfall. Sure it will be on PC but that's not a console. If Killzone came out on PC I'd consider it a PS exclusive because Xbox and Nintendo won't have it.

My_Outer_Heaven4647d ago (Edited 4647d ago )

Damn that is close, both systems seem to have the same amount of games coming out for it on launch. Doubt it matters though hardly anyone will buy every single one, at least not straight away.

InTheLab4647d ago

DCU online is not exclusive and neither is Minecraft.

Also, Lococycle will also be on the 360.

thirtyandnerdy4647d ago

Heyo, as some other people are stating, it's only comparing XB1 and PS4 day-1 launch titles. No other consoles, or what's available on PC.

In the context of the article I felt I was pretty clear that the chart was representative of what's going to be available to play on both those consoles on their respective launch days. If it's misleading in any way I apologize.

Additionally, it's not meant to stir up the hornet's nest in any way, if you know what I mean. =)

xxBiG_BoSSxx4646d ago

You were quite clear. No need to apologize, and thank you for the chart.

I think maybe some are bothered because the chart goes against the narrative of ps4 having no games.

In reality, both systems have an equal amount of games. Whether or not those games appeal to certain people is another topic, and entirely subjective.

Michiel1989387d ago

yeah they were such good and fun games but they never really reached the mainstream audience. Killer Instinct was widely known and respected.

Cacabunga387d ago

Killer instinct is great, especially on snes but it’s not the most underrated fighter.. for me it’s Power Stone. So much potential in this series

Jawsh666387d ago

Bloody Roar was a game that had a sick concept but wasn’t made the best. I’d say Killer Instinct was the opposite of that, it was well made but the roster of characters were so similar to every other fighting game in that era that it ended up feeling like more of the same. I could be wrong that’s just how I remember it at the time and I played a ton of KI on SNES because it was one of the first games I owned.

PRIMORDUS387d ago

I loved this game in the arcade, my main was Jago, Ultra Combo!!! https://www.youtube.com/wat...

DivineHand125386d ago

That combo was way overkill 😂

PRIMORDUS386d ago

I know haha, I loved Jago.

Bathyj387d ago

You're kidding?
It enjoyed probably more success than it deserved.
Unlike Tobal 2

MeteorPanda386d ago

Tobal 2 was awesome. Sold really well cause art similarity to dragon ball

jjb1981387d ago

I remember trying my hardest to learn that "Ultra... Ultra.... Ultra...." finish. Such a great fighting game.

Popsicle387d ago (Edited 387d ago )

I can tell you definitely got some SNES time in. The slight differences in the ports due to hardware constraints were interesting. For example, the arcade version was Ultraaaa Coooommboooooooo! versus Ultra….Ultra….Ultra on the SNES.

Though SNES overachieved as a port for as demanding as a game KI was.The arcade version was one of the first cabinets with a dedicated hard drive and the SNES version was 32 megabyte cartridge which was huge for that system at the time.

jjb1981386d ago

Yeah, for sure. My local childhood arcade was always packed and it was hard to get a game in but once the SNES version came out, I was hooked. I can still feel the click of the power button.

15 Last-Gen Games That Still Compete with Current-Gen Graphics

GB: "Say what you will about the state of the industry, but even as games evolve, their graphics remain a key aspect. Even some of the biggest flops this year sport some gorgeous visuals, as publishers and developers push the boundaries of what’s possible, pouring years of time and money into their work."

Quantum Break and Ryse are two that I was really surprised did not get an FPS boost option when played on the Series X|S. when i started playing both on the XBO, I thought they are both good, but after playing them also on my steam deck (in 60fps) I just cant go back and play the base games on XB. They really benefit from that faster frame rate.

Driveclub is another i wished had a HFR mode on PS5.

MatrixxGT558d ago

Most games this gen are the exact same except now we get faster loading through SSD and a res and fps bump. Graphically not much has improved, hell most last gen games are being relabeled and resold as “remastered” with the aforementioned updates.
I haven’t seen or played anything on either platform that couldn’t be run on last gen. Guess the law of diminishing returns is really showing itself these days.

127maXimus558d ago

Most games from 20 years ago are basically the same as today, with resolution and fps upgrades. The AI is still just as braindead as it always has been, worlds are full of static, boring characters that do the same thing over and over.

Demetrius558d ago

Smh another reason why graphics haven't improved that much is because most devs too caught up on cross gen. Ps4 was/still a dope console but time has moved on we're halfway close to a ps6 reveal and devs still will be making games on last gen in 2025. Then theres Microsoft purposely got the Xbox series s that causes more devs to try to pull strings as much as they can smh. It's a mixed bag of stuff, the only ones I see pushing hardware is sonys studios and even some indie games look better
