Rocking out with Rocksmith 2014 - IGN

IGN "...the developers at Ubisoft are getting ready to release their sophomore effort: Rocksmith 2014. We had a chance to play around with the PC version for the past week or so and it's obvious that the team took a lot of feedback from the original to heart and incorporated many improvements into the sequel."

Broken link. Looking forward to this game tho

I got my Les Paul Jnr bundle on pre-order. I cannot wait for Rocksmith 2014. I absolutely loved the first game, it really did bring me and my guitar much closer together, and increased my repertoire of songs by a magnitude.

Why do people expect things that developers work really hard for, for free or close to nothing?

fsfsxii2087d ago

Are you shilling for free?

Pist0ler02087d ago

Really, why are DLC supposed to be free?

anast2087d ago

It depends, if its recycled and or cut content or crafted as a stand alone. One is more work than the other. And the cost should reflect that.

Rachel_Alucard2087d ago

No one argued they should be free. But charging nearly $100 for some costume sets is robbery. Good thing the support died after a year.

anast2087d ago

I thought Sims was going to be more expensive. I am surprised about the cost of the "simulator DLCs" and not surprised about Star Citizen.

GoodGuy092087d ago

$90 for an uncensor dlc for gal gun....anybody remember that? Lol.

I’m excited to see what they make next. Rock smith is such a nice tool to learn a song easily on guitar.

Rocksmith 2014 - Back to Basics

"While Rocksmith may be marketed for beginners, I’m coming into it with a previous history with the instrument ... and when I started playing I was immediately humbled with the realisation that I am one sloppy as hell guitar player." Writes Aaron Mullan

I still play Rocksmith every now and again when I get the itch. But yeah, another aging guitarist here that's nowhere near as good as I should be after years of "playing" guitar.

aaronmullan2504d ago

You should try what I'm doing to see if it helps you out! Would be good to get other guitarist's opinions on if it helped them or not.

WiiU-Dude2504d ago

Just picked up Rocksmith in a current Microsoft sale for $9.89. I will soon be giving it a try once I get a guitar.

Does anyone have some tips for reducing input lag?

JackBNimble2504d ago (Edited 2504d ago )

Optical digital out put stops all lag and then you also need to adjust audio settings if you have a ps4, I'm not sure about xbox though.

ArchangelMike2504d ago

Yeah I had input lag on playstation, I had to move to PC in the end. But yeah connecting via optical output is the best option for PS4. I had to connect to sound output directly to my sound system, and not through the TV.

JackBNimble2504d ago

The only problem is if you have a ps4 slim, it doesn't have the optical port.
