Ever since MicroProse released its Magic: the Gathering Duels of the Planeswalkers PC game in 1997, the Duels of the Planeswalkers games have been a good way for new players to learn the game and for experienced ones to get their MtG fix taken care of on demand. Unfortuneately, it seems that pretty much every game since that Windows 95 title has been lacking in one regard or another in comparison not only to the real-life fantasy card game but even to that now 16-year-old computer game.
