I like how the nexus 7(tablet I know) can use the dualshock 3 right out of the box as long as you have that cheap little connector.

That definitely is a cool feature. More tablets should follow their lead.

The Sony Xperia does this with the Dualshock 3. It would bridge the gap for most gamers' attitude to mobile games. It does work quite well it is a little odd though when the controller is bigger than the screen though

I think this is the first step in making the phones themselves as a remote play type thing for the home consoles. I honestly thing Sony will go this way. Sony has really amped up their Phone and Tablet division with the Xperia models. With the Vita not doing well and the fact mobile devices have made handhelds difficult to sell at a "normal" price point(see my most recently blog) it is far easier to try and get this feature working with their Xperia range than make another handheld. Microsoft also has a chance with this but has less control over the hardware capabilities needed.

Yup I agree that's a great first step. However, it would still be awesome if the controller was integrated so that you wouldn't have to bring a controller everywhere you go. You have to go places with the forethought that you may play games. It should be easier than that!

While I don't think it's going to be in the hands of everyone, I think the Nvidia Shield is a huge step forward for stuff like this.

The Shield does look cool, but I'm worried that games that will take advantage of it are few and far between. Hopefully that will change.

To be fair, there are also human made games that release and lack any fun at all either.

jznrpg34d ago

But all of the great games have been made by humans

One is by choice, the other is a feature.

Guild Wars 2 been playing for 14yrs, 1st beta. This is just one company I support, Arenanet and NCSoft, even though I torrent, there are a few PC companies I will buy from. "PlayStation’s Horizon MMO spin-off, Horizon Steel Frontiers." I feel this will be good, NCSoft is a good developer/publisher.

It’s a tool. Use it elevate things and get it done faster. I’m sorry but not every game made by humans is good. If this can help things, then I fully embrace it.
