At E3 2006, Konami happily showed off a new product - Metal Gear Solid: Digital Graphical Novel, for PSP. It wasn't a game as such, more an interactive comic book - and if you missed it the first time around, looks like it's headed back to us, with a standalone DVD version seemingly in the works.
Craig Hasselback writes: "While the women in fighting games tend to get the most attention for being considered "sexy", their cousins in the action genre are out shooting it up and exploring boundaries well beyond the confines of a ring. Just because these characters are rendered in more than bikinis doesn't mean they're not sexy.
The action genre has been dominated by male characters since the creation of gaming. But there have been a few exceptions to the rule of sexes. And of course, these female exceptions have received a gentlemanly touch in the design department. We have haven't only come to accept that designers intentionally create female characters to be attractive; we've decided to celebrate it with our top five sexiest females of the action genre. While we're not allowed to number our top five lists anymore, we'll leave that responsibility to our readers."
I feel your pain to lol but one female character I thought was a hottie was Joana Dark from Perfect Dark. Sniper wolf and Eva are just gorgeous who agrees? lmao. I want to see them on the big screen damnit.

Straight from the show floor of TGS 2009, WorthPlaying went hands-on with Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker for the PSP.
"Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is shaping up to be one of the best PSP games to hit the market. While our short demo only gave us a brief taste of the gameplay, what we saw was excellent. The controls were easy to learn and comfortable to use, and it rarely felt like we had to struggle to make Snake do what we wanted. The gameplay is varied and interesting, and while it isn't a perfect port of the Metal Gear Solid gameplay, the changes seem to have done wonders in making the complex mechanics function on the PSP."
Finally a game to dust my PSP off for, it's been sitting idle for way too long!

And that's saying a lot.
But I would understand, seeing as how Kojima's hand was forced in MGS4. He was forced to tie all the loose knots in the MGS universe, whether they were needed or not. Yet he did it beautifully.
Like they say, never limit the vision of a genius.
Peacewalker is no longer limited by the demands of MGS fans. It is now only limited by Kojima's own mind. ^_^
I hope Kanomi ports this game to, at least, the PS2 down the road. I really don't want to buy a PSP for one game. :(

It's really true. How can a game fill of long cutscenes, be made into a "short film" if it's anything as long as the cutscenes. This will be the longest "short film" ever!
I am pretty sure an actual movie is eventually coming. I know they (Kojima Productions) signed a deal.
Finally! I have never owned a PSP and I wanted this!
The 'game' was pretty good, but having to zoom in on the panels to find secrets and then connect them to the other secrets was a little annoying. A standalone DVD would get rid of that and make it a much more enjoyable event.
