Edge:Ridge Racer: Unbounded, Bugbear’s bold reinvention of Namco’s racing series, was about taking chances. The world was disposable and destructible; the vehicles blunt, unglamorous instruments to be used to smash, crash and crush your way to victory and unlock the next set of stages. It was rough, rugged and understandably divisive, abandoning the brand’s established core pillars of smooth racing lines, sunset vistas and a forgiving learning curve.

Namco have released the following stement regarding Ridge Racer Driftopia.

VVV: "Its life was ultimately shortlived, however: after an extended closed beta on PC and PS3 since September 2013, Namco has applied the brakes on the project, announcing that the servers will be shut down by August 15th. "
We are in need of a proper Ridge Racer... I must admit, I really enjoyed Unbounded.
I could accept this ridge racer if it was less destructive! all that tearing through
buildings and blowing stuff up, not my cup of tea.
Bring the original game back namco, i dying to play another ridge racer!

"This PSN Weekly sees the release of SoulCalibur II HD Online, a high definition remake of an older game in the series. Also out this week is the highly anticipated Tearaway, which I know a number of people have been looking forward to for a while now. Let’s get stuck into it, shall we?"
