Understanding Video Game Graphics Display Settings

ReviverSoft:"Whenever a PC gamer — or just someone using a PC that feels like playing a video game — decides they want to, well, game, they tend to encounter the questions of whether or not their system is compatible (read: strong enough) to handle whatever they want to play on it. Whether you have a gaming beast or something that just barely scrapes the compatibility requirements for the title you’re playing, you may decide that either your graphics or your fps (frames per second) are unsatisfactory. (fps means that a low amount of frames can make the game jittery and harm your experience, especially if you play games that require quick reactions.)"

Ultra Settings!!!

kmanmx4682d ago

It's pretty simple. If you want performance set stuff to low. If you want it pretty set it to High/Ultra. If you have a great rig, you can get the best of both.

If you run a very high resolution, you can set the AA lower to gain back some FPS. If you run a low resolution, you can set higher AA to get rid of aliasing.

Settings such as AA, Tessellation, SSAO, HBAO, kill performance and are amongst the first things to disable if you are having performance issues.

VSync will either run at 60Fps, 30fps, or 15fps. As soon as your frame rate droops below 60fps it will lock your framerate to 30fps. So if you want as high as frames as possible, turn it off.

VSync and tripple buffering are also key causes of input lag, so if you are having problems in that area, try and turn those settings off too.

Simples.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit28d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing28d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9228d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
