WTF...they had windwaker above Ocarina of Time...

All those games are good/great to me but Ocarina of Time should be number 1.

Marceles6623d ago

Definitely...followed by A Link to the Past. Every game after LttP has followed the same formula.

Breakfast6623d ago

"Every game after LttP has followed the same formula."

A winning formula. :)

That would be my second one aswell, but they are all great games though.

Bonsai12146623d ago

seriously? windwaker #1?

every gamer knows it goes oot, lttp, everything else. therefore this list fails.

BlackIceJoe6623d ago

I will list 411mania top ten list so no one else has to have pop ups attack them.

10:The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons (GBC)
9:The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX (GBC)
8:The Legend of Zelda(NES)
7:The Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass (DS)
6:The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages (GBC)
5:The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)
4:The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64)
3:The Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess (Wii, GCN)
2:The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES)
1:The Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker (GCN)

I hope this will be of help.

Horrible list.

I just beat the first Zelda (for the umpteenth time) and I could swear you got heart containers in that game to increase your life. Beat a boss, get a heart (not counting discoverable heart containers). Pretty simple formula. Or is he saying that getting heart pieces is the real innovation?

(He mentions heart containers being introduced in A Link To the Past. Maybe he never played the first Zelda?)

desolationstorm6623d ago

He was talking about discoverable heart pieces.

Anyway I love OoT should have been higher. Though sadly Im still in the middle of MM and WW. MM I want to beat, but yeah I have to go back and figure out where the hell I am and what I was doing before the game has to reset or I lose all Ive done pretty sure Im in the middle of a temple. As for WW that game I loved the artstyle but I never had the time to do all that damn sailing.

As for the guy that asked about TP its a great game and if OoT is your favorite you will love this game. The world is huge and some of the dungeons are top notch. Also if your a big fan of OoT play and beat Masters Quest its easily my favorite zelda game. Though it is a just a remixed OoT with harder dungeons, but how could that be a bad thing?

moses6623d ago

I've played every one except for Windwaker ( which im in the middle of) and Twilight princess.

So far, windwaker is really fun!, but Ocarina of time was so just epic for me, it was amazing! Hands down the best game I've ever played! With link's awakening close in second!

All in all, how does Twilight Princess line up against Ocarina of Time?

Breakfast6623d ago (Edited 6623d ago )

Its good, somewhat familiar. But, nothing beats Ocarina.

I found that the puzzles are easier because you've been doing it for so long. They're not the same, but your head works quicker...lol. Its like you having too much practice.

moses6623d ago

I know what you mean! I can't help but keep playing Ocarina of Time and Majora's mask ( master quest) over and over again! They're just too damn good!

Bubbles for nostalgia!!

TurdStationPee6623d ago

OoT #5? LMAO, no. How can the #1 game of all time be #5? Makes no sense.

Crazy to think the WII is to the Switch 2, as the NES was to the WII back then. 20 Year difference.

My wife asks me to bust it out (heh) everyone once in a while to play bowling and tennis with the kids. There was a ton of slop on it but some good stuff as well.

Smellsforfree33d ago

Wii was great but boy howdy did it cause Microsoft to go on a dark walk with the Kinect and the disastrous XBox One launch that they arguably never recovered from.

Not nostalgic for me.. I was there.. anyone who wasnt a little kid realized it was a gamecube with shit tacked onto it, it was the "joke" system and was well below even the switch in terms of comparing it to the latest machines at the time. The machine was well loved by young people and "casual gamers" who now remember it 20 years on, or in most cases more of its sales came in the 15-20 years ago range not right at launch- but again its not nostalgic for people who were "gamers" then really, just for those who ended up with one in their house, the games , graphics, interface and online features were archaic already in 2006.
