PSP is awesome, everything it does, the games, plays music and movies, photos and on that beautiful widescreen, magnifico!

But PSP + PS3 = Thats a special kind of awesomeness

I have an 8gb memory stick in my psp too, and at the moment have i think 6 psone games on my psp. I couldn't be happier with my psp. Yes i could actually, when Crisis Core comes out.

lmao I have a DS... it's kool. If your 15 and older your without a doubt going to prefer the PSP and its games library. They honestly are both good though. The PSP just has better games(You wont see anything close to the 2 GTA games, Metal Gear Solid PSP's 5-6 Final Fantasy games, 2 syphon Filtyer games, Silent Hill, Ratchet and Clank, Killzone: Liberation,Wipeout, Lumines1 and 2, Daxter, God of war, Cris Core....there are way more.... anyone that says ANY DS games compare to those besides MAYBE the zelda game.... is on crack. It's not even close. DS is filled with 2D Kiddie platformers. Mario feels kiddie. Ratchet and Clank and Daxter even aren't kids games just animated. PSP wins easily and will get better and stronger) and can do way more lol.

outstanding games, excellent media capabilities, non-embarassing graphics, sexy, web browser

some games on the DS are ok- like Ninja Gaiden which rocks, and Zelda and Contra

but most are just crap targeted at 6 year olds

and there are barely any media capabilites to speak of- which is crucial for a handheld these days

i find the game library better on the PSP for my tastes, but i do play my daughters DS whenever a good game is out, though. but all in all, i like my PSP better.

i think the PSP is better for more serious gamers and the DS is for kids and casuals.

I had a gamegear back in the day, it was great. I never understood why it didnt catch on. Great games, for its time great graphics, i miss it.

Why would something so trival as this article be approved its just gonna get loads of bs thrown around. I like both the systems though if Im going on a trip I usually take my ds because of the sheer amount of multiplayer games there are on the system. Not to mention that you can do single card play. If I have space I bring my psp the only reason why I dont is the DS takes way more punishment I can slip it in my pocket or toss it in my backpack I wouldnt do that with the psp unless its in its case and the psp in its case is not fitting into my pocket.

As for Favorite game Advance Wars or Mario Kart those two games alone provide me with entertainment and awesome multiplayer matches.

This is a pointless argument but to the people saying DS has better games, you are flat out wrong. Now I know it is your preference, just as the PSP is my preference, but the PSP does have higher scored games. The same is true of the PS3 vs Wii. Wii has better sales because it caters to a bigger market, but PS3 has the BETTER games. So its basically quality vs quantity. Same with PSP vs DS. Facts are facts fanboys.

To the guy who said Rings of Fate has "more to do" than Crisis Core and that Ninja Gaiden is on par with GoW for PSP. Come on, you are just grabbing at straws. Crisis Core is one of the best games ever made on PSP and Ring of Fates is basically unknown. Ninja Gaiden isn't even close to God of War. Crisis Core has about 20 hours of gameplay in the story alone. I have 40 hours and i'm not even done with all the missions yet. I also plan on doing a new game+ to get a 100% save data. Sorry, but Ring of Fates just doesn't compare in anyway to CC.

Rather than his '101' on how to respond to the article the article is a '101' on how to get a run of the mill blog site more hits by posting something contentious. The follow up article is just self serving IMHO. I'm a PS3 and PSP owner and silly arguments like those posted on that site are a waste of time and energy.

I really do think that if the developers really wanted to, they could put those PSP games they make on the PS3 and give them even better graphics. The DS is unique in that you cannot put a DS game on a Wii, or a PSP, or any other console.

The way I see it, the PSP is a handheld PS3, but the DS is a console all its own.

The best thing about a PSP is the fact that you get a full blown console game to play on the go. The best thing about the DS is the fact that it remains a home for 2-d games, sidescrollers like Castlevania or SJRPGs like SD Gundam or Super Robot Wars. Both are great which is why I bought both.

EDIT: I mean, I'm suddenly seeing his blogpostings as news, and I can't understand why. How has Davin Warner made an impact on the gaming, or on the gaming society as a whole? Is he fully unbiased in his opinions? What makes him to be "the" source of credible truth?

I just laugh at this desperate attempts by Sony fans to prove their PSP is better even though it has gimped controls, less software sales, less hardware sales. I dont own either because portables arent my thing but it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out which one is better. Obviously if the PSP was so much better sales would reflect that. They do not. Any excuses you make up for that are just that, excuses and have no real meaning. Even the guy who wrote the article is a fanboy. They go to a site proven to take bribes on reviews to find reviews that give PSp the edge instead of going to metacritic or something similar with many review scores per game.. Then they talk about how bad Ds fans are but the first 15 or so comments are from Sony fans saying the exact same things he thinks Ds fans should be ashamed of.. All I really have to say is that if the PSP was a Nintendo product they would trash it for its gimped controls and low focus on games. Yet as usually they are ok with anything as long as it carries the Sony name.Also notice how many of these "unbias gamers" are ok with gimped controls on PSP but they'll trash the Wii for not having a normal control scheme. It must be a really hard time for Sony fans right now. Wii gamers have SSBB, Bully, Okami, NMH. 360 gamers have tons of games also to play. Yet what do Sony fans have to do? Spend all their time on gaming sites talking about how great those consoles they have no games to play on are..This is why I am a PC gamer first. Nobody fights over who is a better PC maker, they just play the games. BTW I call out Sony fans because they seem to be crying on every article about how great their platforms are. If they were really that great you wouldnt have to live on here telling everyone about it.

I have a DS and PSP. I havn't touched my DS in moths. I got it because of all the hype and everyone saying how much better it was, only to find that there were only a small handfull of "must-haves" available. I got it one year ago tomarrow, and I have a total of 4 games for it. PSP has quite a few more games that interest me, so I like it more (plus it doubles as my music player)

Both have their strengths and weaknesses, and both have a very respectable selection of games, but PSP>DS IMO.

Ya dude, let's completely ignore the advent of modern gaming today. Don't you think that had something to do with differing opinions coming together and arguing the finer points of some games vs others? Games get better by taking the good aspects of past games and leaving out the bad. Without people talking about it, or arguing, it sure would be hard to know what was done right/wrong with past games, wouldn't it?

So, yeah, let's make a rule: We will never discuss or argue why we like certain games/consoles. This rule will eliminate much of how we progress as a society. But hey, at least we will completely respect the opinions of others.

I agree that comments like, "You're stupid if you think Halo was a great FPS!", are trivial. But saying you shouldn't ever argue your own opinion is a little extreme. It just needs to be done in an appropriate manner.

Yes, I believe that it's true that DS has good games but it takes a great deal of intellectual dishonesty to say the PSP doesn't have any.

Plus, great graphics are great. If anyone says otherwise they're lying to themselves to the point they believe it.

Furthermore, the PSP does EVERYTHING. This alone makes it a better value despite the higher price.

I stopped reading when he said he look at gamespot for review scores. I mean, I like both. I can't play zelda on the PSP, and I can't play FFVII crisis core on the DS. Both have good games in my opinion.

ds is a joke why is this even a question. i haven't taken nintendo seriosly since n64.

My money is on the psp. my reasons.

1. Custom Firmware- absolutly amazing, so many features, Dax is a god.

2. With custom firmware comes emulation, i can play all of the best games up to the ps1, i have Metal Gear solid, FFVII, CTR, Full Throttle, Sam and MAx, Monkey Island, Mario, Zelda, Sonic, all of the classic Games all on my psp.

3. Multimedia- movies, music, Internet, Radio, all on one device. (still doesnt beat my ipod though, for music and video)

4. Remoteplay- is not only freaking awesome, but it is an untapped resource.

5. Depth of games- With God Of War, Metal Gear, And Final Fantasy, you have console type games, with the cinematics, and the depth that i love.

However the DS is a great pick up and play system, it has lots of fun titles, but the lack of features is unimpressive. The games are fun and varied, and with the R4 (i think its called) chip, there is alot of possibilites.

But my money is on the psp.
However i like both.

I gave Nintendo one last chance to make things right when I bought a Gamecube. Every system they make has so much WASTED POTENTIAL.
