Sony Online Entertainment have just released the Game Update 13 for PlanetSide 2, a huge patch that makes hundreds of changes. Some of the more notable changes include:
- Automated server recommendations
- Improved respawn logic
- An improved tutorial
- New weapons and other equipment
- Vehicle reworks
- UI tweaks
- Lots of gameplay rebalancing
SOE have been putting a lot of effort into updating the free-to-play PlanetSide 2, with the various updates receiving mixed responses from fans. In particular, the ‘Lattice System’ released a couple of months ago has pleased some fans in it’s reduction of capping unmanned stations, but angered those who feel that it put too much of a focus on ‘zerging’. It’s looking like on the whole, SEO are listening to fans though, and presumably hope to get the game into a good state for release on the Playstation 4.
Planetside 2’s future is uncertain as the IP was sold for a relatively low sum to a company with no history.
The last Live Letter is done and we were all surprised at the announcement of a delay to the release of FFXIV's Endwalker expansion, we got some more details about the MMORPG's new PvP Crystal Conflict mode, and some system details. Then we talk about PlanetSide 2's new continent and LOTRO's new expansion before wrapping up with some good changes for Ubisoft and Blizzard... but are they enough? PlanetSide 2 is going to be getting its next major expansion this December. This new addition, titled “Expedition: Oshur” will be the first addition in almost seven years to bring an entirely new continent to the game.

It's alot deeper then i thought it was.
And PS4 will have no trouble running this maxed @ 1080p. It could probably push the textures further tbh.
