David (CheatMasters): Endless running games are all the rage these days, with Despicable Me: Minion Rush and a slew of others being released just a couple of months ago. With this, it would not seem unusual that Pac-Man, the much beloved pellet munching character from Namco Bandai would be joining the fray within due time. In Pac-Man Dash!, Pac-Man now behaves more like Sega counterpart Sonic the Hedgehog as he runs and jumps in order to beat the clock and complete missions in over seventy challenges across many different environments.

PAC-MAN Dash is Namco’s attempt to crack the overcrowded mobile market and appeal to a new generation of potential PAC fans.
Sadly, while it’s fun in short bursts, Gamer Thumb finds it difficult to recommend Dash over other endless running games, especially with the likes of Jetpack Joyride and Dead Ahead already on the market.
Dash doesn’t attempt to offer players any new experiences, simply borrowing what it thinks is a winning formulas and dressing it up in a PAC-MAN theme.

Touch Arcade - Is there a more American game character than Pac-Man? I know it's Japanese, but come on, has there ever been a better metaphor for Fitzgerald's American Dream? The Jay Gatsby of games swallows whole each and every pellet in its path, with no hope of stopping, until the ghosts of one's past offer death's sweet release. Unlike Tetris, a Soviet fantasy about placing blocks in an orderly fashion.

Ian DeMartino of GameWoof reviews Pac-Man Dash! Praising its high speed gaming but slamming it on its IAP system saying "As far as Endless Runners go, Pac-Man Dash! would be in the running for the crown of the genre, instead it is a game full of potential, held back by one near fatal flaw."
