I have another method called archiving games. You know those 5 in 1 disc games. You can sell off your old games if you really know for sure you don't need them. Take Valkyrie Profile for example, you no longer feel like playing it on the playstation, so you sell it off and simply get the smaller psp game. Why would you want to get rid of some games? because you've played it and felt it didn't really live up to the hype, so it's ok to let go of some games in which you haven't fallen in love with. Also consider the profit you can make, if people are willing to pay 100 dollars for Valkyrie Profile, then let them have it. Collecting is not just about owning. You archive games that were nothing special to you, but still want to sustain it some form where it doesn't take up too much space and it doesn't cost much to have around.

There's also cutting the fat method where you happen to own a few spin offs of your favorite series, but you didn't like them because they were different right? You can sell those too. No point in having that extra fat around.
