You should not have wasted character bits writing this response. We all know that the PSP graphics is better, but they do not have a greater variety of interesting games like the DS especially with the extra touch screen function. That dude was just probably kidding around. PSP will get great looking games and hi-tech extra features like skype, navigation, digital tv tuner and camera function. But the DS just has more interesting games. Its just a gamers preference.

overall PSP is much better when it comes to graphics and pushing the limits of a game that's handheld. The DS is more accessible gameplay-wise, anyone can pick up most DS games and play without feeling left out while the PSP does require some knowledge on gaming and technology.

PSP is my overall choice but I still like the DS for what it offers.

If you want PSP graphics that are on par with some PS2 games, see Crisis Core and Chains of Olympus. Graphically, DS can't compete with the PSP. DS has PS1 graphics.

Aside from having N64 graphics, the DS'screens are of poorer (garbage) resolution. Everything about the DS is cheap!

If the iPhone was marketed as a gaming handheld, however, I'd change my previous statement.

man i barely use my DS, the only thing i use it for is multiplayer for super mario bros love the mini games and two player. But i hate its wireless euugh goes from 4 bar to 0 randomly and a lot of times too. While PSP i use for almost everything, internet radio, music, games, Demos, internet, videos literally everything.

But overall i love both systems even though i use PSP a lot more

I still like my DS. It's more for just quick sessions with Mario. I use my PSP a LOT more though, mainly 'cause God of War is just so badass right now. But yeah, PSP slaughters DS in terms of power. The DS is an N64, and the PSP is a PS2. Simple as that.

Horrible graphics, but much better games. In the end, DS wins. Intuitive games and controls. PSPee is just for console ports. Who the hell wants that on a handheld? I want console games on my massive HDTV.

Who cares about graphics on handheld consoles? IMO 2D graphics work better on screens that size. Solid 2D graphics are timeless whereas 3D graphics age quickly.

I still play on my GBA SP cause it has a games library that's unrivaled by both the PSP and DS combined. GBA SP is THE console especially for platform/RPG fans like myself =)

Well I have both the PSP and DS and got quite a few games for both. I dont see how anyone can deny that graphically the PSP is better however I use my DS more as I just find alot of the games more fun! I find alot of the games more interesting and fun than I do alot of the PSP games! Not to say the PSP doesnt have any good games because it does BUT my preference is for the DS games. Remember the Lynx and how it failed against the original gameboy? the Lynx was way better in terms of graphics but with games like tetris on the gameboy it just made it more fun and addictive. Of course the PSP hasnt failed and is doing good but the DS for me is more fun!

I always thought it was pretty obvious that the PSP graphics were better than the DS graphics...but it's not like the DS graphics are terrible. I mean, just look at the intro to FINAL FANTASY IV!

Yeah, that's right, Final Fantasy 4 has great graphics but that is not the limit of the ds, that's only the tip of the iceberg. I have yet to see a game that truly tries to push the ds in 3d graphics -_- Also don't compare launch ds games to psp ones since the 3d graphics on ds has gotten WAY better since then. Another thing is I hope you psp fans like playing a system with tons of ps2 ports lol and very few original games XD Have fun with that hehe

PSP does have better gfx, but every person i know only uses it for Snes/nes/GB/Genesis/megadrive what not emulation......actually makes me laugh.

Although PSP is not a bad gaming handheld, i do like my Ds more, because the games are far more interesting...imo.

Loco roco was fun and patapon is interesting.but for my taste thats pretty much it.

The PSP has soo many more cool features and it has GOW! Although the DS is fun too. I guess.

Both systems offer good games so just play whatever system that has the games you like. Personally I prefer games with a a more mature theme so I chose the PSP.

DS has some great games, but so does the PSP. In terms of graphics their is no contest, the PSP is a portable PS2.

There's no contest here. DS is about N64 era tech (with PS1 jaggies) and PSP is just under PS2 capability. You'd have to be such a blind fanboy to even suggest they come close.

ummm everybody seems to be obsessed with talking about the PSP being able to kick the DS in graphics and whatever. but to me the PSP is just a sony 2 handheld. i love my ds as its innovative and gets very creative with how u play the game. it tries new ways of doing things instead of using just a d-pad or an analogue stick, it mixes things up with the stylus and other cool features such as talking into the mic and so on.

i agree that the PSP is a much more powerful little machine but, as with the wii, nitendo's ability to reinvent the way games are played keeps them on top. at least for the time being.
