Well that's pretty cool good for the people that maybe didn't get a chance to play the original :)

flashback was a great pseudo followup to out of this world. I liked both but flashback was the better of the two (IMO).

If they were doing an hd remake of this, they should consider an hd remake of OOTW as well.

It'll be great to have the original to go back to as well. Neat little addition, and one I definitely appreciate.

funny how people mentioned how he kinda looks like Drake.

Great news. That way everybody is happy.

The animation was incredible for its time. It's a relatively short game though, once you get familiar with it. I had this on the Sega Genesis. Great stuff.

Both OOTW and FB were mind-numbingly stupid and controlled like dog poopy. They also didn't age well.

I have zero faith in the execution after how bad that remake was.

Doesnt need a sequel.

Snookies121822d ago

I was so excited for the remake too... I loved the original so much. Maybe they can prove us wrong, but after the remake I don't have any real expectations for this either.

MadLad1822d ago

Yeah.
Highly doubt they're going to catch lightning in a bottle twice.
It was very much a product of it's time. Unless they have some real talent, we're going to end up with a disappointing, needless sequel.

Flashback Mobile Review: Hardcore Droid

An award-winning action-adventure game, developed by Paul Cuisset in 1992, Flashback holds a Guinness record and is one of the first games to use rotoscope technology for realistic animations. In it, you travel the universe in the year 2142 with amnesia stricken protagonist Conrad while he dives headlong into an insidious alien plot. This game will no doubt prove a time capsule of memories for some and nothing can ruin that. However, for those of you who have never played the original, Flashback Mobile offers a somewhat different experience.

This game was cutting edge on debut. I want to think I may have had this on 3DO, can’t remember. Maybe SegaCD.
