Not too many here on N4G although many here claim to be.

I think someone who is able to enjoy games regardless of what platform they are on and does not argue with anyone over which platform is superior. Someone who can get excited about future games, again regardless of platform. Someone who can enjoy a game for what it is without the need of a reward system. Someone who enjoys games for what they are and not just look for flaws all the time and if there are any, can look over them because he/she knows, it's just a game.

It's supposed to be someone who just enjoys playing games on their spare time, regardless of what other people's twatty opinion is about what you do as a hobby or what game/platform you are playing on. You don't take sides, you just play. But now, to be a gamer you either have to bash this platform, bash that game, bring your personal politics into it, voice your displeasure about every single thing on a forum, talk about the superiority of your preferred genre, like a game that most people hate, hate a game that most like, hate COD yet you keep bringing it up in every conversation or think COD is the only game out there, you have to have been gaming since the 1990s, no the 1980s to be a true gamer, you need to master every single thing in a game, call people n00bs for using ANY weapon or item to complete a game hurhurhur, etc.

Simple answer, shut up and play.

Someone who play different kinds of games and doesn't stick to one genre

A real gamer, in my opinion, goes on garbage gaming websites and flames and trolls every single post about the opposite console, them make up blogs and news posts about the system they like and make the same story 5 times out of it and claim it is gospel.

Being dellisional helps with that.
