Xbox One killing the "Killer Instinct" .

KI is not a game that will sell consoles at least not in my eyes, because i like the game but not that much to spend $500 for a game that could be bad i mean Double Helix really....

The only person who will hurt Killer Instinct is the developers as far as I'm concerned.

Why is it people are forgetting that they've made terrible games over the years. Not one bad game, not two, not three...a lot of bad games.

I love Killer Instinct but I'm not feeling it with this title. How could MS, with all the money they have give it to such a crappy studio. It's the same feeling I got when I saw Slant Six were given the rights to make a RE game. I feel this game will get the benefit of the doubt if it does end up being bad because of how long people have wanted it however theres a huge difference in what people want/expected and what people actually get.

I agree, if I want Super Smash Bros I will have to get a Wii U. If I want PLaystation All Stars, I will have to get a PS3. Although, I already own those consoles.

Lol. I wouldnt go that far and say upset. If it was a ultimate edition like Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 then I prolly woulda considered it. The originals were bad ass.

Well I will say this. Im a playstation guy. I am a fan for Playstation. Far from a fanboy and I will give credit where credit is due.

I am a KI fan from way in the day. When KI first hit the scene. I wasn't aware. Went to the arcade one day and there was this huge crowd. I was curious to see what all the commotion was about. Now when I laid my eyes on it, it was the most gorgeous site I have ever seen. Saw the RARE label on it and said to myself. Hey this is from the DKK guys! The combos, the skill, and when I first say my first ultra I had never experienced multi orgasms lol.

The music was first class also. Come on, Rare has some kick ass music composers. The bone rattling bass of Spinal's stage. The orchestra and organ ridden tones of Saberwulf. Riptors cool as hell drum rolls.

I mean as far as character design, what game lets you play as a cyborg, a werewolf, a dinosaur, a zombie, and fuckn snowman alien for christ sakes inthe same fuckn game lol.

That said. Here is wat I gotta say about all the commotion.

Other that the redesign of glacius and the F2P model, I really hope they dont screw this game up. Look at DMC. Ninja Theory screwed that game and didnt care. So lets hope not. F2P is just not what in lookn in as a fighting game. I dnt kno. I might be wrong. It might prove to work. Will it convince me to buy a xb1 over ps4.... nope. But I will consider buying a 1 used one day.

Now this game had so much more potential. And before the fanboys rip my head off, if you kno KI like me you will understand. ..

Why couldnt they jus do a remake of the originals. Do a ultimate edition sort of thing. Put all the character in one game, all the original stages and music. Do what tekken 3 did in the day and did a remix of the music. Pull a ultimate MK3 with all charaters. This game coulda been the exclusive for Micro. But this is the problem....... Rare is not doing it! I hate that. As much love as I have for Rare and the memories they gave me in Snes days, I really dont wanna see their legacy disappear.

Being booed at the Evo tournament is unfortunate but to be honest Xbox hasn't been branded for MLG for fighting games this gen. But for COD and Halo, shooting genres.

Not really, both PS4 and X1 are sold out at Amazon right now. Both system will success. Xbox One now is like the PS3 back then, yet it didn't stop the PS3 to success like right now

yeah they were such good and fun games but they never really reached the mainstream audience. Killer Instinct was widely known and respected.

Bloody Roar was a game that had a sick concept but wasn’t made the best. I’d say Killer Instinct was the opposite of that, it was well made but the roster of characters were so similar to every other fighting game in that era that it ended up feeling like more of the same. I could be wrong that’s just how I remember it at the time and I played a ton of KI on SNES because it was one of the first games I owned.

I can tell you definitely got some SNES time in. The slight differences in the ports due to hardware constraints were interesting. For example, the arcade version was Ultraaaa Coooommboooooooo! versus Ultra….Ultra….Ultra on the SNES.

Though SNES overachieved as a port for as demanding as a game KI was.The arcade version was one of the first cabinets with a dedicated hard drive and the SNES version was 32 megabyte cartridge which was huge for that system at the time.

SF5 didn’t appear on all consoles and was still played at Tournaments. I’ve seen KI tournaments recently so I don’t think your opinion is accurate.
