What the author of this article doesn't seem to understand is that even professionally, these studies are not highly regarded. For every one that does support the games/violence correlation, another comes along that disproves it.

They only gain attention because the media prefers to latch onto the negative studies, instead of a fair and balanced portrayal of the reality.

I would disagree that the studies are not highly regarded professionally. The ESA spreads lies and propaganda like that throughout the industry.

The studies that come along that supposedly support violent video games are paid for by companies who are making the violent games - so they are hardly considered reliable.

Your right that the media latches onto the negative studies, and how all these school shooters played the violent games. That does not excuse the behavior my fellow gamers enact. If you are right, then the media is laying a trap. Then I am saying be smart, and avoid the trap. Constantly walking right into it is giving them the ammo they need to make us look even worse.
