Game Rant: "The big question veteran games have on their mind is whether or not TESO lives up to The Elder Scrolls name and MMO players are wondering if it’s just another – albeit bigger budgeted – traditional MMO that doesn’t offer much newness in terms of gameplay. At this point, nearly a year before the game will be ready for release, it’s hard to tell."

The art style is simplified and more cartoony. The combat is emphasized in the 3rd person perspective rather than 1st person. There is a restrictive class system in a rather typical MMO fashion. They've included more regions in one game, but seem to have forgotten the detail.
In my opinion, from what I've seen and read so far, it's not a question of whether it lives up to the Elder Scrolls name. It's an Elder Scrolls game in name only. That's all.
Personally, this isn't my cup of tea. Not to be to judgmental, all I can think of is a mess.
