I am kinda worried, because the quirks were what made Dead Rising so enjoyable. The moose head battering ram in two was a favorite.

I haven't lost faith though - there was a shark costume in a video, so I think that it hasn't gone completely straight yet!

But a good combination of horror and comedy makes this series great! Too much sway one way or the other loses a big chunk of your audience. Then again, making it exclusive to one console loses an even bigger chunk of your audience. Lol.

I've always liked Dead Rising. If I had to pick Horror first, Comedy second or Comedy first, Horror second... It would be Horror first. So far what I have see excites me.

Except from footage shown it doesn't look like a horror game in the slightest. The mere fact airstrikes exist as a gameplay element implies you've got long-range support and when you can call down what is essentially the fist of God to get you out of a tight spot you lose whatever tension there was.

As a zombie-slaughtering sandbox game DR3 might be a decent title but don't you give me any bullshit about 'Horror' Capcom because in the time since Code Veronica's release you've clearly forgotten what that words means and I'd stake that this won't change any time soon.

They want COD sales so it wont be much of a horror game.

The reason I loved Dead Rising 1 was because it was really funny and the gameplay was colorful and REALLY fun. Dead rising 3 looks gray and brown and boring as hell.

In a world where the Zombie Apocalypse is taken serious, I would love to see a ninja slash a zombie wearing a yeti mask with a paddle duct tapped with a chainsaw. Playing a game should sound just as fun playing it when you hear Dead Rising because its known as a comedic take on a serious situation. I would have never played Dead Rising on an 360 if it was the same as Resident Evil, because shooting zombies with a shogun isn't as fun as killing it with a frying pan. Idk why but it is.

Never could get into this series, stopped halfway thru the second one, after fighting the guy in the bathroom. I just didn’t like the time restraints the game put on you. Never liked that for any game back in the days.

I'm one of the weirdos who likes DR3 and 4 better than 1 and 2, so I'm surprised it sold so many copies. It was a launch title so I'm sure that helped. But either way I would definitely play DR3 again if they remade it.

Never played DS3, I didn't own an Xbox One so I never got to play it. I did play DS1 and DS2 which were good games but honestly DS remake was much better, not the remaster but the one that came out during Christmas where they let you revisit the mall as Frank but the plot is remade completely

Really miss this series . I bought a Xbox 360 only for dead rising . It was my dawn of the dead dream played out . 2 was quite good , as was 3. But 4 was just a disaster !. It could of been so good . I say reboot it again , cause I do miss the series .

It was never particularly good. People just remember the first one so fondly because the 360 was new at the time and there were so few games for it then.

Dr1 is one of my favorite games.

Dead Rising 1, 2 and Off the record was very good. Even 3 was decent. 4 I also enjoyed but it was changed up a bit to much. Plus I hated they got rid of the drop in drop out co op. That's what made Dead Rising 2 so fun as well as Dead Rising 3.

Everyone complains when developers just make cookie cutter sequels so Capcom shook things up with Dead Rising 4. Fans shit the bed when it wasn't a cookie cutter sequel and it didn't sell well. I personally loved the game and its open sandbox nature. I saw it as different and fell in love with what made it special. I've been a fan since day one and have always loved each game for what it was, but this is definitely a case where the fanbase was indeed toxic... Anyway fast forward to the present and Capcom isn't sure if the franchise has a future anymore.

Same thing to every xbox 3rd party game this generation they don't matter they choose the wrong partner with a very low count of user base instead of choosing Playstation. Plus those fanbase who are looking for silly kiddy gameplay jump into the more fun better and free to play games like fornite etc games.
