Nope. Never have been, never will be. In chronological order, Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft have all provided me with awesome gaming experiences that I'm all too grateful for.

I'm a PS/Nintendo fan. I get a what i like from both systems. I just don't find what interests me in MS's consoles.

I'm definitely a fan of how Sony has been handling business recently. I'm also a fan of their current products. I have a Vaio, an Xperia Tablet Z, an Xperia TL (Phone), a Vita, and a PS3 super slim. No, I'm not exactly rolling in cash. I just happen to have poor spending habits and work too much. -_-

That being said, I have been on board with Sony since the PS1. They've had the games that have enticed me the most. I've also been a PC gamer for some time.

It's hard to imagine a gamer who doesn't have a Steam account, honestly. That's why I don't get the PC vs. console debate. Most people have both a decent PC and at least one major console. Even integrated graphics cards will run many games available on Steam. :)

I grew up loving my Nintendo consoles, but when I got my hands on Metal Gear Solid, Twisted Metal, Croc, Cool Boarders, Spyro, Gran Turismo, Crash Bandicoot, Oddworld, and Medievil...I was hooked for life. So much variety! So many things to do! And some of them actually had compelling stories! That was new for me. Lol.

Saying the PS2 had good games is a bit of an understatement, so I won't tell you why I went with the PS2. There were good games on GameCube and I absolutely loved Blood Wake and First To Fight on the Xbox, but the variety just wasn't there, as far as I was concerned.

Then, we get to this generation and I start out with a PS3 and Wii. My PS3 hasn't taken a week off since launch. (I've gone through three, by the way. My launch 20 Gb stopped working and I sold my slim for my super slim.) The Wii was sold later. There wasn't much to play. :/ The good games were GREAT though. I just want Nintendo to grow up a bit and give me experiences like Shadow of the Colossus, Uncharted, The Last of Us, or inFamous. I also had a 360 for a few months. I enjoyed Crackdown, Gears of War (One of my favorite series' now), and a few others. I played through a few exclusives and I was done. With my PS3, I'm getting tons of exclusive titles month after month. Even some of the lesser loved exclusives like Battle Royale, LBP Karting, and Sly 4 held my attention. Throw in PS Plus and you can just forget running out of things to play. My backlog is ridiculous! My 500 Gb is full and I don't have space for all my stuff!

Combine all those great games and experiences with a new company attitude that says, "We've stumbled in the past, but thanks for sticking with us. The future is bright!" and you have a big win for the oncoming generation!

And I find it ironic that Gamespot, a place with one of the worst gaming communities, puts this video out.

Most people on this site are fanboys, most on the internet for that matter. It really is a sad sight to see fanboys bicker over pointless crap.

If debunking other fans with facts about my console of choice makes me a fanboy, then I guess I'm a fanboy. Seeing some of the lies and FUD spread by Xbox fanboys are quite entertaining. I post a link with facts, they reply with nothing but an opinion and misinformation. Most Xbox fans attempt to spin facts with opinions, then when they get proven wrong with links and facts, they go off topic.

Very interesting video. I've always wondered why diehard fanboys would go to great lengths to defend and attack devices. I mean yeah.. gaming is awesome, but we really shouldn't take it personally.

I'm not gonna lie I prefer Sony consoles as they cater to what I want more the Microsoft do and even more then Nintendo do.

That hasn't stopped me owning other consoles. But I tend to sell others whilst keeping my Sony one's.

Do I think Sony are the best? Yes for me but not for everyone.

Do I care it other people by other consoles? No not really, but when they start saying how amazing their choice is and how inferior my choice is then I go into wind up mode.

So am I a fanboy? Off the Internet no, as other people's choice doesn't effect me.

On the Internet I am a rabid fanboy as it winds other fanboys up when you blow their weak arguments apart with arguments only a fanboy can use.

Ya I'm a Sony guy. Have my ps4 preordered. I also enjoy Nintendo. Including the wii u, I think it's very underated. I enjoyed the original xbox, the 360 was great its first like 3 or 4 years then it really fell off for me. I'm not interested in the x1 at all. I think the ps4 will be better for core games. And the wii u is just pure fun.

Not really. I never defended what I consider to be negative aspects from the big 3 which is the thing I find most fascinating about fanboys. They defend negative things like DRM or no BC and in my mind a fan should want their system of choice to be better but its like fanboys want their system of choice to be worst.

Not necessarily BUT I do enjoy the large variety of games from Sony more so than any other company. I have owed both the ps3 and 360 at one point in the the beginning of the gen but m$ just fell off

I'm not a Console fanboy. I own a PS3 with over a year and a half , I bought an Xbox 360 two weeks ago and I own a gaming PC.

And really, there weren't so many calming of nerves attempts wen the Sony made their mistakes with the PS3. If anything, MS was directly agitating their fan base while most game sites trying to play down the XB1's DRM didn't forget about the PS3's $600 price tag well after that price had dropped.

I am not fanboy I own a Xbox and a ps3. I just prefer the Xbox brand more. You can go through my comment history and don't see me going through PS articles bashing Sony. I stay on Xbox only related articles and defend my preferred brand when Sony fanboys come there's always that certain one that always come to our articles. Say like MysticStrummer, HammadTheBeast, MariaHelFuturia, Gamerviii, Kratos_Kills, etc. It's always PS fanboys trying to rain on our parade with EVERY piece of good news or opinion pieces we get on this site. I used to be the biggest Xbox Fanboy you could imagine.

Then I opened up and got a PS3 and boy, am I glad I did. The amount of quality games blew me away, The Last Of Us is currently my favorite single player game of all time so far.

Then I got a decent gaming PC with a i5 3570k & 660ti. Now My opinions about consoles altogether are cynical overall. But I'm glad that I own all three. I have to say, I'm going with PC/PS4 next gen. The only reason I was with Xbox in the first place; Bungie, is now on Playstation. So I have no reason to stay.

and its true that the word fanboy gets thrown around too much. i believe a fanboy is someone who constanly slates the other console which isnt thier favourite but does not own it, has never owned it, so therefore really cant make a valid debatable discussion about there preferences to both... but yet still believes their favourite console is untouchable just because thats all they have - they have to justify that their purchase made was a good one.

Nope. I've owned an NES, SNES, PS1, Dreamcast, PS2, N64 and Xbox 360. Affordability and pertinent games are what drive my buying decisions.

Nope. I'm a Nintendo/PlayStation/PC gamer. While I've never owned a Xbox console, I don't see any reason to hate it. I'm actually hoping Xbox One does relatively well since a healthy competition is always a good thing. Do you think we would have seen Sony offer PS+ service without competition? I'd say no.

I'm not a console fanboy or Console only gamer. As a matter of fact I have PC and 360... I actually like the new 360 design, it's fascinating.

I don't think of myself as a fanboy. My preference would be for Sony. tbh I've never even owned a SEGA or Nintendo console. I'm a single console owner due to money and personal preference but I did once preorder the Mass Effect CE when it first came out just so I could play it on a friend's Xbox. It was well worth it.

Personally I just resent MS.. and it really has nothing to do with the console.

My biggest problem is the straight up denial here that there is anything but Sony fanboys here. I see so many people complain about Sony fans, as if there's no Xbox/Nintendo or PC fanboys here. I've seen articles where there's 7 or 8 comments in a row bashing Sony fans, and its hypocritical. The article about PS4 being a powerful gaming device was rampant with PC guys bashing Sony.

Every fan base is guilty of it. Its not a Sony thing or a Microsoft thing. Yes Sony fans are a bit vocal here, but that's just the result of being so heavily criticized when the PS3 came out. Now the PS4 gets some positive press and they act like assholes. I get it..I don't support these actions at all, but its time we realized that its bad across the board.

All sides could use some growing up.

I have no problem blasting Sony when their marketing is non-existent or if one of their exclusives is a dud. I'm a fanboy yes, but I'm not a blind slappy though. Sony is absolutely 100% in the business to make money, and they owe us nothing...but at least they create a believable image that they care about their target audience (the gamers). Not like other companies whose INITIAL INTENT was to FORCE all sorts of anti-consumer restrictions on to its "FANS". Can people please stop saying Sony "cares" about it's consumers. What a delusional statement. It's a company, it makes money and that's it. Both company's don't care about you. Kazou Hirai doesn't give a fuck who you are just like Don Mattrick. They care about getting your MONEY. They care about what you BUY. They are not going to feed you they want to take all your money even when you can't afford something. And the second you buy their competitors product they couldn't care two shits where you end up. Sony didn't make it's product cheap because they care about what you can afford. LOL. They want more people to buy it so they make billions of dollars. Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.

Wuchang is great. Nine Sols didn’t have a physical copy so I never played it but I’ve heard good things so I will check it out. I stopped playing sports games many years ago when before the card dlc’s or whatever they’re called.
