This was the calm before the storm. The only chance the 360 would have outsold PS3 would be before blu-ray takes off, before metal gear, and the 360 still is riding there top games of 2007. Looks like 360 will not be able to come back afterall.

Exactly breakfast. As long as 360 has good games, it really shouldn't bother anyone. However it will be a lot easier for 360 owners to give up on their 360's after RROD now that sony is actually providing a significant threat. If sony holds them off in march, i really don't see them winning in April without price drop, and sony would be nuts not to drop price as well.

I definitely prefer my PS3 to my 360, and I'm happy to see sales doing so well for the system. But look at the software sales guys! The PS3 still has a lot of ground to make up when it comes to software sales. I do hope to see this figure massively improve though, as this will encourage more support from devs. Guys complain about lazy ports on the PS3, but if you all bought more games then devs would adjust their resources accordingly.

Keep focusing on units sold and not realzing that Ms's units sold is more effective to them than Sonys.

MS is making about 100.00 per console sold( my guess based on over 2 years at aout the same price point) So they just made appx 7.7 million last week. Not to mention the millions in software they just made.

Sony on the other hand is not selling alot of software and they aren't making money on consoles sold. Sony's money will come later on the gen when they are able to cut alot of cost and sell a crap load of ps3s like they are doing with the ps2.

Its should be the other way around. Gamers should not endorse low quality. Devs should treat their market audience with respect regardless of size. Why should PS3 owners pay the same for lower quality versions?. Smart devs knows that they are actually taking care of themselves but taking care of their customers. Good examples of games are Burnout, AC and COD4. All good MP titles that do quite well on the PS3 which is the way it should be. Give gamers quality and we will give our cash. Besides. There is about 3 times more x360 to PS3 in NA.

Last week it was climbing..it was at 600K...those excuses about lower install base are out the window and have been since January with the ps3 eking out a win each month since, it is pretty consistent but I myself am hoping for a microsoft price drop...I think it will make a difference in North America since it ain't making a difference in Europe. Congrats to CCff7 with those immpressive numbers but they should be bigger...I cant understand how there are 12 million psps yet god of war for the psp cant break 500K in 4 weeks...piracy is killing all the hand helds IMO.

Are you that dense. There are about 11.5 million x360 to 4.5 PS3 in NA. A ratio of about 3:1. RSV is a shooter.

I am being 100% honest here. If it werent for the x360 hardware issues. I would have bought an x360 last christmas. Its affordable and it has a pretty good game selection right now. I would prefer more action adventure games but x360 will soon have NG2 and Too Human. I live quite far away from main world centers and it took my friends 3 months to fix their x360. As i said. We are gamers that favour one console over another. For us older ones its just a game this console war.
