IGN writes: "WWE fans that picked up the DS version of SmackDown! vs. Raw 2008 last year got an incredibly unique experience to say the least. Dropping all player mobility, shedding the use of any d-pad or buttons, and focusing instead on amazing visuals and touch-only control, the SvR's first DS outing was a bold choice for THQ, as the platform was untested for wrestling games, and the control system was matchless. The end result was a game that we found a particular attachment to, but something that was admittedly a bit too niche for its own good.
Fast forward to the announcement of SmackDown! Vs. Raw 2009, and it seems like the stars are starting to align for THQ's portable wrestler, as the company has gone with a different developer, retained only the basic concepts from the original DS experience, and added an impressive amount of depth to the entire package. Developer Tose Software (best known on DS for the award-winning Rocket Slime) has been hired on to create a wrestling experience unlike anything else, blending the depth and strategy of role-playing games, with the action and brutality of the WWE license. When in the ring, it's all about getting the pin, destroying the competition by any means necessary, and getting the title. Outside of the ring, however, it's a whole new beast."
One week from the next gen release of WWE 2K15, let's take a look at how moves and animations have evolved (?) through the WWE Games series... After comparing the character models with last week's video, we now look at the animation of several finishers / signature moves.
Many of the old animations look better than the new ones especially the Sweet Chin Music and Goldberg's spear. The 2K14 Clothesline from Hell looks awesome though.
Comparing the face textures of WWE Games character models through the years... featuring John Cena, Booker T, JBL, Undertaker, Hulk Hogan, Mr. McMahon and many more... evolution?
I hope that was the last generation version of 2k15 if it is I'm canceling my pre order.

WWE have produced a lot of video games in their time, with varying degrees of quality. Which are the best though? Jason Delacey tries to pick five Stone Cold Stunners.
