They keep praising the fact that your game library will be available in the cloud no matter where you are. But, they have yet to announce or mention how much cloud storage they're going to provide you for free and how much their tiered cloud storage pricing will be. You can bet your ass M$ will not be giving everyone unlimited cloud storage space, so you might as well go ahead and expect another fee you'll have to pay on top of Live.

I never saw so many thick headed people, I mean really this is ridiculous. So no one wants a console that is trying to innovate and try something new (do not tell me that sharing and cloud streaming is new (sharing was bound to come some time soon and cloud streaming is just streaming content, also did sony say that you had access to your old ps3 games in the cloud or do you need to purchase them again?). New generation should be about changes and not bashing the changes that are happening. We should see the positives of a new generation.

The HDMI-in crap is so stupid, i can do almost all of this with my TV remote , for instance stuff like tv guides, the Input button to change from tv to console or the picture in picture functionality , seriously it's redundant as hell , it's like they're trying to make the xbone the next TV remote too not just the next water cooler lolz

Why cant my game library be up-to-date by requiring connections only when installing a game? Major Nelson did not adequately answer the question as to why the console must log on at least once every 24 hours, or why you can't keep the disc in the tray as a failsafe. Just more BS

real answer to why doesn't the xb1 allow u to just insert disc after 24hr offline is to authenticate and avoide modding and piracy...... there I said it for u.....

it does keep ur library up to date but that's assuming u want to share or in a shared family group.... cause assuming u don't this has no upside to updating....

lets face it Nelson Xbox was probably the most easily modded console followed by the 360 and u guys just want a better grasp come next Gen to avoide having 3 consoles in a row going rampant to piracy

I know u can't out right admit, the numbers and effort it takes to keep the amount of piracy off xbox live ....heck halo players were complied heavy with pirates copies

u guys had 3 OS updates for 360 and multiple disc formats and still it wasnt enough to deter our get better control of piracy and I get it

but either way I hope along the lines when this 24hr piracy check in provides u guys with comfort of ur own security we gamers benifit from it with free stuff and price drops for giving up some of our used to owner rights to accomdate what u guys are calling the future

So if I were online I'd have access to all my library and friends and family possibly but if I'm offline and AT&T screwes up my signal like always then all I have is one hour to enjoy my game....then I stare at my Xbox....and wait until it evolves into something useful.

In that same report they also stated a gampess price increase wouldn't be done directly because of the acquisition. Even before the aqustion they said a gamepass increase was being discussed and was a possibility. They never said they would never increase the price of gamepass. Show me where they said gamepass price wouldn't increase.

No. He was only an image of something Xbox wasn't. Xbox was its community, its games, the technology, etc. and Major Nelson was only an old guy with a bad script surrounded by marketing people with the sole goal of making money every month and getting a better contract with Microsoft the following year.

Like I said when I heard about this. Microsoft is shutting down mixer because they started far behind the other streaming services well does microsoft & Phil Spencer want to shut down the Xbox Division at the same time then as they have been loosing to Sony for the past 3 generations of gaming consoles so in their eyes they should be shutting down the Xbox Division as well. This is how it has gone Sony had a year head start with PS2 to Original Xbox Microsoft lost, Xbox 360 had a years head start to PS3 Microsoft lost & Xbox One & PS4 only had a few weeks between them & guess what Microsoft still lost yet Microsoft is still coming out with a 4th console does anybody see where I am going with this. If I was Microsoft I would have gone with either Twitch or Youtube as they are much bigger names in game streaming services.
