Mutant Mudds Deluxe Review (Cubed3)

"Designing a unique platforming game today is a difficult feat. The vocabulary of the genre has become set in stone since its inception in the 1980s with Donkey Kong. Just saying the name "platformer" brings to mind concrete ideas about how the player character should run and jump.
Every once in a while we get some incremental improvement, a logical leap in the platforming design. A game like Super Meat Boy will come along and then, bang, of course, wall sliding. Makes perfect sense. Then everything, including Super Mario Bros. will have wall sliding.
It's rare, though, that some game actually steps back and looks at it all and tries something fundamentally different with the formula. For instance, instead of fast running and long jump arcs, how about meticulously precise use of a jetpack that allows hovering? Mutant Mudds is that game.", writes Cubed3.

Yes another awesome game that justifies your 299 plus taxes Switch purchase. XD

What a ridiculous comment. BOTW , Splatoon 2 , Kingdom battle , MK8D, Oddysey, Xenoblade 2, Fire emblem warriors. thats from March to December yet you act like this decent indie game is the reason we bought a Switch? lol

I liked Mutant Mudds. Such a childish comment.

Yeah, what were those games that justified the $400 price for the PS4 during its first months of life? Or the $500 for the XBox One?

Reminds me of when you go to redbox and see movies noones ever heard of or are certain werent in theatres... Then click to see if theres a bluray version and when theres not pull up rotten tomatoes and then things all make sense. Except, in fact, mutant mudds is actually a decent game.

Seems nintendo floods B list games on their platform (most of which arent very good) to fluff the amount of games the handheld actually has. Like all those shovelware games the wii got so nintendo fans can add another feather to their cap like the xbox fans used to do with kinnect games.

Soooo basically 6 months in we see the switch is nothing more the a nintendo AAA 1st party/6th gen port/indie machine. Which is fine... They just need more compelling rpg/adventure games that arent just more of the same zelda... Xenoblade... I would die for a new golden sun!

Its almost like they are afraid to make new AAA 1st party i.p. but like 1 or 2 if were lucky a year...

You Will Die in Mutant Mudds and (Probably) Love It

BagoGames

Live. Die. Repeat. These are the words that made up the tagline to Tom Cruise’s Edge of Tomorrow, but they aptly describe Mutant Mudds nonetheless. A retro-flavored platformer from the minds of Dementium and Moon Chronicles, Mutant Mudds is a tough-as-nails throwback to games gone by. Needless to say, my first time jumping and shooting with Renegade Kid‘s cruel creation for Wii U left me enthralled, humiliated, but never defeated.
