Next gen DRM shouldn’t get in the way of more connected game experiences, Avalanche Studios’ co-founder Christofer Sundberg has told us.
When we asked Sundberg for his thoughts on the ongoing DRM debate at E3 this week, he replied: “Yeah no it’s terrible. I mean, to protect the rights of the developer, creator, that’s really important but sometimes DRM has been used…

Hitman's David Bateson and Assassin's Creed Valhalla's Magnus Bruun featured in voice acting panel.

A small update from Christofer Sundberg, Founder & Creative Director, Liquid Swords.
It’s doing slightly better than Minds Eye it seems but not by much. Hopefully by the time it hits PS5 they have fixed most of the issues.

Christofer Sundberg: "Me and my team pitched Contraband back in 2017 to MSFT (and signed it). It's changed quite a lot since then obviously, but it would have been fantastic to see it being released one day somehow. Just Cause 5 would be a no-go since extremely few from the original team are there still."
Wait weren't they in favor of this?
LMAO all the backtracking is hilarious!!
Avanlanche seemed to strongly support MS and the choices they made for XB1...remarkable that Peter Molyneux has been pretty vocal about XB1's failings also!
Even the money pit that is EA seem regretful regarding DRM.
The publishers that associate themselves with MS policy are in for a rude awakening, they will drop the policy when they see diminishing returns on that platform.
Mark my words Activision!
So glad to see all the backtracking happening now. This should give us gaming the way we want it for at least 2 more years anyway.
Everyone is jumping the xbone ship! Save yourself...haha.
Taste of things to come.
