This was the last straw for me, I've supported MS since the reveal of the xbox. When they released that supported countries chart, I was done. CDPR is my favorite developer and to do this to them along with everything else, sorry just can't convince myself this the right choice anymore. PS4 at launch it is.

CD Projekt is militant anti-DRM advocates, just take a look at GOG.com. When asked about the DRM of the Xbox One, they mumbled and murmured an inconspicuous response.

Now CD Projekt finds out they won't even be able to play Xbox One games at launch and still they only sound mildly disappointment and hopeful things will change.

Im sure poland will get the console in 2014 . However the xb1 may not work in African Nations like Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa ect. due to very very poor internet network and rolling blaclkouts that could last a day.

Not at Launch, but in the distant future, when all PC/Ps4 Player in Poland have already crossed the 500 hours mark in the Witcher 3. Hahaha... may god help you, Bill.

This is an absolute disaster, if by the time the Witcher 3 is out and the their very own resident people cannot even play the game.

As a Pole (for those who want to troll - not the stick) it doesn't matter for me.
Let me tell you, dear n4gers about Polish gamers. The most of us are PC gamers as it's the cheapest way to play (GOG, steam, etc.).
When it comes to consoles the most used ones are PlayStation consoles. It's mainly due to whole decades of using SONY's stuff in Polish households. Personally I still have a 21" CRT TV which was bought 18 years ago. There is a conviction in Poland which states that "Sony's electronics are of the best quality", and in the beginning (the 90') PS1 was more accessible than NES, SNES or Nintendo 64.
When it comes to the generation of PS2/XBox/Gamecube, the PlayStation won in Poland, as there was a wider variety of titles. The xbox was bought as a novelty, but as Microsoft was still new on Polish market it wasn't as successful as other platforms. Gamecube? Well it was a exotic platform as there were little to no titles available.
Then came the generation of PS3/Xbox360/Wii. If my memory is good till this moment there are less than a milion of PS3 in Polish households. When it comes to X360 in the beginning most of them were being hacked, but in recent years due to Kinect the sales went up but it was bought mostly for <18 kids. Wii was also bought because of the price, motion controls but as there is little to no games available it collected dust after a while.
Now let's go to the PS4/Xbone/WiiU generation. PS4 will be another hit due to support from such devs as CDRP, City Interactive, Techland, Bloober Team or Vivid Games.
Xbone will be bought, but only if they will try again to target <18 or if the kids brought up by X360 will grow up and decide to buy X1. WiiU is available in our market since many many months before, but because there is no Nintendo Poland, and there are few games the sales of consoles is low...very low.

CDRP know how many PS3 and X360 are there in Poland and should know which platform will be bought here. They can take the hit and develop Witcher 3 on X1 further, as they know that there will be no more than 25 thousand unhappy Polish X1 owners. They will sell a lot more on PC and PS4.

Either way, I should be meeting them in the near future, so I will ask them personally :D

This xbone DRM thing is even worst then GFWL on many PC games.

The other day I tried to play Fallout 3 goty edition that I brought from Steam a year or so ago and I could not play it anymore.
I forgot my pw and since the gfwl server is offline or some thing I can't play the game.

Similar thing happened to me with Dragon Age. Stupid Drm from EA plus its servers are down, I can't recover my pw and so not able to replay this awesome rpg.

I'm sick of drm on many pc games and so I want to keep a mile or more of distance from a xboxone......

From this moment henceforth, Xbox hardware shall simply just exist but have no significant bearing from a business standpoint or from a gamer culture standpoint. It will simply be there for the people that want to have it and that's fine if they're selling it at a high price and actually making money off each sale.

I’ll say this. Cyberpunk had a tumultuous start on console. Even if it had sold like crazy, that whole almost unplayable fiasco and being given no questions asked refunds made a lot of people not look back.
When it comes to PC, people are a lot more forgiving of things like that, especially on Steam, because of the return policy. I really think console manufacturers should implement the exact same refund policy. Was it played under X time? Refund it. It makes people take that risk on games a LOT more than on console. Bought this game and it was broken? Refund it. They said they fixed it 3 months later? Buy it again. It’s fixed but just not fun? Refund it. On console you don’t have that luxury. Was it downloaded? GG. No refund. Lord knows my Steam library is full of “I’ll try it” games that I loved and I’m glad I can take a rush on. On console, specifically PlayStation because I’m not buying Xbox games, I take calculated risk. Known developers. Shinobi, Ninja Gaiden ragebound, stuff like that. Obviously big exclusives and games too. I would have never tried Little Bookstore on PlayStation, but on Steam… why not? Hellish Quart? Why not. Buckshot Roulette? Why not.

this is why console sales matter, folks.
