
It's strange that not many developers have seen fit to attempt this type of setup before. Whilst EVE: Online undoubtedly caters for the hardcore sci-fi fan, gamers have had precious little in the way of alternatives thus far; with a whole generation of PC gamers weaned on the likes of Wing Commander and Battlestar Galactica going pretty much uncatered for at present.
NetDevil is looking set to capitalise on that market with the release of Jumpgate Evolution later in the year; providing an instantly-accessible space combat and trading sim looking to blaze a trail for the more casual market. Following on from some hands-on time with the title recently, Strategy Informer are more than happy to report that the studio looks to be well on the way to success in that respect.
