im just hoping they upped the ante in graphics by release.interesting story. Bt if u look at the vids,the cars windscreens are blacked out and details werent as gd as ur average game in 2007. By average,I mean average AAA title. i have faith tho,and MSFT need Alan Wake to kick ass.

HOME - no-one will use it. Do you know why? People only use social networks like second life or home to interact with the opposite sex; that wont be happening on HOME.
Haze - numerous previews have lambasted it as "awful" and "abyssmal" - you really think its goiing to be good?
Killzone 2 - based on guerillas track record - a 6-7 game at best.

The rest of the games on that list will probbably be great - but how can you even claim that motorstorm 2 will be of a better quality than the xbox's exclusives when hardly anything has been announced?

face it - microsoft isnt going to just let sony win holiday 08 - its got some great titles of its own.

Killzone 2 - How are you predicting game scores before you've played it? There is NO DOUBT to anyone that it will be one of the best looking games ever released. Guerilla knows the hype behind the game and will deliver the goods.

HAZE - the only bad previews this game got was before NOVEMBER 2007 because it was glitchy and not running smooth hence why they delayed it and polished it too a glimmering shine...another AAA exclusive to add to the PS3 library. The HAZE confirmed for MAy 22 article even says the polished game "looks very promising".

And I can claim Motorstorm 2 will be a great game because Motorstorm 1 was a great game and they will do nothing but improve on the formula.

I don't disagree that M$ will not put up a fight but I think the PS3 has WAY too many good games and too much momentum going for it in 2008. 2008 is definitely the year of the PS3.

Most people already have computers. How much does it actually cost to get a graphic card to run these kinds of games? Ur better off buying an xbox cuz it cost a lot of money to own a high tech computer to run todays games. GEARS 2 HAS NOT BEEN CONFIRMED FOR PC UUUUU MORONSSSSSSSSSSS. Gears is not meant for PC. U can't play this game with a mouse, it doesn't work as well. If r gonna use a controller then u might as well get a 360 for a cheaper solution and have other great games. Lets see here, Ninja Gaiden 2, Left 4 Dead, Alan Wake, Banjo, Fable 2, Splinter Cell Conviction, GTA 4 with bonus content + Achievements + custom soundtracks = much better, Gears 2!!! Res 1 was descent, LBP could be a big flop or could be a sleeper, MGS4 will no doubt be great. If one or two of PS3s BIG Hitters flops or disappoints, it is Microsofts year once again. Especially with a price drop in the USA. Think about it.

Being a 360 owner, the one game i'm looking forward to this year is Gears 2. I really beleive it is the game to own this holiday season. Its the follow up to 2006 GOTY, its got mass market appeal (toys, movie, books), and with MS mega-advertising campaign..... its going to have the kind of hype Halo 3 had last year.

I also don't see Alan Wake selling that much. It will surpass the mil of course, but it will hit a wall before reaching 2 mil IMO.

Alan won't contribute much to keep up with PS3 sells this year. Hell, even Gears 2 will not make much of a difference in console sales.

Last year it couldn't even outsell the PS3 with ME, Bioshock, HALO3 and almost every single multiplatform running better...

This year it won't be any different... well the only difference is that the PS3 will outsell the 360 even more.

This alone excites me more than any other game this year! If Conviction and Project Offset hit for 360 this year then Sony has no doubt lost it's edge for the year! I think E3 will change the view many people have for this year thanks to titles like this one and more on the way!

Oh yeah it's official. The 360 will have the better year in 2008. No question about that anymore. Gears of War 2, Ninja Gaiden 2, Alan Wake, Fable 2, Halo Wars, Spliner Cell Conviction, Left 4 Dead, etc...

Yeah Alan Wake is also on the PC but your going to need an expensive gamer rig to run at the same level as the 360. I know my PC won't be able to do that and I'm sure the majority of pc owners can't either.

How in hell will I be able to afford a new PC to play Crysis and Far Cry 2?

I'll buy this one for sure. I mixes horor genre staples (wierd things that go wrong and you have to do something about it) with what i can say is the MOST contextual inventory system ever put to use in a game.

This is how games should progress, giving us something new and not just rehashed old generation concepts. I'd like a game that can step up to the plate when it comes to such innovations more than I wanna see Snake roll around in a barrel. I'm still picking up MGS4, but let's not be blind to the other great hits that come out as well. Alan Wake...man there goes a nother $60!

Yes, I myself agree that Gran Turismo was always lacking in car damage. They call it The Real Driving Simulator, a title I won't argue with being a GT fan myself. And I'll nnever forget that awesome intro in the original with the chemical brothers BGM. Also, it had a one of my favorite soundtracks, including the cardigans and garbage.

But ever since then it's a 9shyof10 since they haven't innovated as much as they should, were they should. Forza2 wins, and since its physics engine is tailored to run @ 360fps, a car doing 180 gets 4 times as much physics fidelity as compared to a cars physics being refreshed @ 60fps. At that rate, a loss of precision for every foot makes it a quarter as precise.

And no car damage just means that you'll see the car as pretty the last lap as it was the first lap, which isn't real. It can't be a sim without consequences. Although you'll probably thank them for it during the replay, which I can see being the arguement against car damage.

I'm looking forward to this game.

Its too bad because this game looks great.

I told alot of naysayers that MS doesn't just list a laundry list of titles to the public at the beginning of the fiscal year like SONY did. Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing is debatable. Truthfully I like both concepts, however if both SONY and MS choose to he same method for revealing their games, the year would be very boring due to a lack of surprises.
Now on to Alan Wake. When I first viewed the screenshots of the game a couple of months back, to say the least, I was underwhelmed. "WTF are all the people so excited about this game?" I kept asking myself. It wasn't until I seen the actual demo of the game that made me truly see the power that the 360 is capable of. This is not about proving the 360 superior to the ps3. This is about letting people know that the 360 certainly isn't maxed out.
I've been telling people that all because the 360 is PC like and easier to program for than the ps3(so some say), the triple core processor is STILL NEW to developers. At the time ALAN WAKE was revealed the team had JUST started to use all 3 cores on the 360. They stated that the game could only be run on the 360 because of this.(I'm not sure if thats true or just marketing)
I'm very excited about the release of this game and ask others who doubt the graphics quality to view the trailer of this. Oh and check out Warhound too. One love:)
