i will buy this for my PS3 since my 360 is now a repaired 360 and dont want to take a chance on it breaking on me middle of the game. i dont want to wait a whole month to wait for my console to return before i can finish it.

PS3: 399 Euro

That's between 130 and 200 Euro paying less, but having the same graphical experience there... Now that's a pricing debacle if you want to step into next gen gaming when GTA releases!

Take Two confirmed that the PS3 version is better looking than the 360 version. The PS3 version also has less glitches. And the frame-rate is also the same on both consoles.

Microsoft isn't the only one worried about this game when it launches. Movie productions too are worried about GTAiv in general. I believe Iron Man is coming out around the same time. Heck, even when Halo 3 came out, movie ticket sales "slumped", and thus a scapegoat was brought to our attention.

I believe the $50mil may do something with the price being a little cheaper.

How do they know that for sure? That sounds like a quote from XBOX 360 fanboys.

If someone can prove that's what Rockstar meant by warmer colors, then I shut up and buy the 360 verison. No argument from me.

Again, from people who actually played the game... both games are the same. Only difference is DLC which will probably cost you some money. But the core experience will be the same. So why would PS3 fans be disappointed? Because they don't have the option to PAY for more missions? And don't think for a minute that the DLC will not eventually make its way to the PS3 as well.

Personally, I could care less about the DLC and will be purchasing GTA4 for the PS3. I'm used to playing GTA with the Sixaxis and can't really see myself playing it on my 360. I play that game for hours on end and the last thing I need is for my 360 to crap out on me right when I'm getting head from some hooker in a back alley after running from the cops and blasting a few gangbangers.

For those of you who care about the DLC and don't mind what controller you play it with, the 360 version may be for you. Plus I can only imagine what the multiplayer will be like on Live.

if you have a ps3, you buy the ps3 version at amazon. No need to pay more than the 360 version.

if you have both a ps3/360, you buy the 360 version. simple as that.

3. 95% of multi-plat games run better on the 360 whether its the visuals, framerate, or online. Thats just a fact.

Maybe your in denial, but pretty much 95% of ALL multi-plat games run better on the 360 AT THIS TIME. maybe in the future things will change.
And i'm not about to make a list to prove my point, there are just too many games that run better on 360 compared to the ps3. Do a search, read reviews. educate yourself kid

I'm waiting for reviews to tell me which version is better. There will be plenty comparisons before the game is even out.

When it comes to multi platform games the 360 wins 98% of the time.

But this is GTA IV, the game was rumored to be delayed especially to address the PS3 version. That means they have spent a good portion of the last 4 or 5 months making the PS3 version the best it can be. I don't think this is just another game where they're treating the PS3 as an afterthought.

360 fans are looking for any reason why this is just another multi platform game that's better on 360.

I'm telling you now, don't be totally shocked if that's not the case this time.

I care about DLC, but getting the best version of the original game is what's most important to me.

So I'm gonna wait for reviews, this game will be compared PS3 VS 360 more than any other game in history.

If the 360 version is better, I have no problem buying it for 360.

I don't understand why this is an issue in Europe. In the U.S., all multi-platform games are the same price. And the reasoning that blu-ray is causing the price to be higher is simply ridiculous. I thought that the manufacturers (Sony, MS, Nintendo) dictated the pricing. Why is Sony sitting back and letting one chain gouge its customers?

The game isn't more expensive on PS3 throughout the whole of the UK like this suggests. Every UK site I've been to has listed the game for the same price on both 360 and PS3. Even GAME (The store) is selling both versions for £39.99:

This is being blown way out of proportion. There is no major price difference on all multiplat games, it's up to the retailers at the end of the day. Plus it doesn't happen online (which is where I shop :D) and so constantly reviving these articles and pushing this false image upon the readers should stop. It's one shop that's been reported as selling it £5 more on PS3. Some even sell both games for £49.99!

Get it a day before release by ordering from Shopto for £37.99! (That sounded like an ad lol)

Shopto pricing puts the 360 version as £1 more expensive. go to Shopto.com and check it. Lol this sounds like a joke but it's absolutely true.
