Another PlayStation Social Environment Closing as Sony Prepares Shutdown of Toro's Friend Network

Looks like PlayStation Home isn't the only PlayStation social environment being shut down. Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and Asia announced that the Japanese version of the little social network Toro's Friend Network on PS Vita is going to close its doors for good on March 31st.

I don't even know what this is, but I hate hearing about things shutting down.
First it was Resistance which I still played regularly, then Home (which I didn't care too much for). It really makes me think twice about ever putting any money into any online services like these.

Why are they closing these services? I wonder if they are planning to use the servers for something on PS4 or they just don't want to fund it anymore.
