The Diplomat: ''With only 3.1 million units sold since its release for the 2012 holiday shopping season, the Wii U has been unable to capture much interest from either consumers or developers. Last month’s announcement by gaming software giant Electronic Arts, stating that they had no titles in development for the Wii U, was a major blow to the console’s staying power.''

The rejection is non-final (and even when such rejections are labeled as “final”, the process is far from over, given that there can be, at minimum, an appeal to the Federal Circuit).
Good, as they should! A game mechanic like that shouldn't be locked behind a patent, and Nintendo didn't invent it either.
Nintendo wants to keep wasting money on bullshit lawsuits, real smart in this economy. They should put that money aside for other game projects. On the other hand, I don't care if they waste it all either, and they are screwed in the future maybe that will teach them a lesson.

Nintendo completed its share repurchase and set its secondary offering price at 8,347 yen ahead of March 16 delivery.

Nintendo filed a lawsuit in the United States Court of International Trade.
Nintendo of America is suing the United States government over the sweeping tariffs President Donald Trump put in place last year, according to a complaint filed Friday in the U.S. Court of International Trade and obtained by Aftermath.
LOL I read this on gaff, will they refund the money back to the gamers? highly unlikely. Didn't they just raise prices and pass it onto the gamers? Only Nintendo would send out the Ninjas to the US government.
if it is then i'm happy to keep buying hd mario and zelda games without having to upgrade. just keep releasing game after game, and bring all games to the virtual console and i won't need a new system. but we all know its not their last system. about 6 years from now you will see doom to nintendo _____ system as soon as its released
Uh, where are the "is this Microsofts last console" articles? I mean really??? By the way is Nextbox even a GAME console because it looks an awful lot like a PC!
That number keeps getting lower and lower evertime someone posts about it. Wii U is well over 4Million at this time. Just Utter B.S.
The Wii U is in a bad place right now but I do expect it to recover by end of the year, on the other hand the 3DS is in an insanely good position which will bolster Nintendo's bottomline.
I have no interest in buying the WiiU but these doom and gloom articles are getting tiresome, Nintendo will continue to make new hardware and new consoles, this is probably just a temporary bump in the road.
These articles are getting old.
