i am really considering pre order shin megami tensei IV or pikimin 3

PSNintyGamer4771d ago

why is your comment downvoted?

jcnba284771d ago

He was downvoted because both of those games he mentioned are on Nintendo platforms. That's N4G logic for ya lol

Inception4771d ago

You should order SMT IV if you like Shin Megaten series. Although the gameplay are a bit different from Persona series. Btw, i don't disagree with you and i gave a agree with you ^^

animegamingnerd4771d ago

persona 4 is my favorite game of all time and while and i have only played persona 3 and 4 in the SMT seires and with pikimin i haven't played the first 2 pikimin that is the next core exclusive game on the Wii U and it looks great

Inception4771d ago

@animegaming
SMT IV is a bit close to Persona 1 & 2. You can negotiate with demons to recruit them. But in combat you got 1st person view, not 3rd person view like Persona. And i think SMT have more multiple endings than Persona.

Luigi's Mansion is already the 6th best selling 3DS game ever ? nice.

Wii U is having a tough time right now but i still believe Nin can turn things around. As for the ps3 all i can say is Sony are on the rise once again.

mcstorm4771d ago

That all depends on how you look at it. The 3DS is selling better than any other console at the moment and the PS3 is the best selling home console at the moment but both the PSV and WiiU are not doing very well so its a mixed bag for both.

I am a big fan of the WiiU and I think once the big name games come sales will start to pick up. But the PSV im not sure what Sony need to do to get the console sales to pickup. I have really enjoyed LBP, NFSMW, PSASBR and UCGA on the device but I think Sony really need to put more into an image on the PSV. We all know the 3DS will have big sellers like Pokémon, Mario, Mario Kart ect but the PSV is missing killer games like this where it has a big appeal for Core and none core gamers.

Looking forward to E3 though as I think Sony Nintendo and Microsoft will have some big games to show us across all there consoles.

Wolfbiker4771d ago

yeah i think the issue is Sony isnt giving anyone major exclusives for the PSV to say BUY ME!

Soundshapes is an amazing game and IMO the best for the Vita but you can also experience it on the PS3, same with games like Dragon Fantasy and other PSN titles.

Nintendo is smart and good at releasing games for the 3DS (and really all of their platforms) that say 'this is why you bought this console, to experience this game, and this game would not have been possible without of this hardware' much like Super Mario 64 and LoZ:OoT did for the N64 and Skyward sword and Wii Sports did for the Wii. The Wii U will have its game soon enough but I think Nintendoland and many of the features it already offers already prove what it can do for a quality and unuiqe gaming experience.

mcstorm4771d ago

I agree. I love the PSV hardware but it has not got the games that say come and get me. LBP was a fun game but did not offer much different to the PS3 versions.

As for the WiiU I agree Nintendo Land, ZombieU show what can be done with the WiiU and I expect when we see new games come along from the big N we will start to see what it can offer.

LOL_WUT4771d ago

The PSP is still hanging in there ;)

Hicken4771d ago

It's still seeing a lot of software support. Honestly, I think the fact that so many games are still coming out for it is hurting the Vita's sales

Sony being Sony, they're not gonna end support for it any time soon, even though its successor is out. That said, I think they expect that, to a certain degree, and are thus not overly disappointed with the Vita's current sales rate.

Knushwood Butt4771d ago

Yup, it's a cash cow for them now.

koolaid2514770d ago

Psp is outselling the PS Vita lol but the Nintendo 3ds is kicking everybody azz lol

DivineAssault 4771d ago

I hope Valhalla Knights comes to the US.. I tried SMT 3 for the DS & didnt like it.. I only gave it about an hr of my time before saying "screw this" but still didnt care for it.. I love RPGs too.. Ill have to give this new one a try tho.. Im intrigued but at the same time dont wanna buy it if i end up disappointed.. I couldnt get used to that 1st person battle system

Army_of_Darkness4771d ago

Since this Gen isn't technically over yet, wouldn't it mean that the PS3 is officially in 2nd place?
I think the ps3 will surpass wii sales if Sony continues supporting it the way they are now with exclusive games and other updates, which is cool cause I don't intend on getting ride of my ps3 anytime soon.

nevin14771d ago

If they had dropped the price to $199 years ago, its no telling how many units PS3 would have sold.

Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.

They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

solideagle58d ago

they should know that we are OG fans of VIII as it sold truckload as well. not as much as VII or X. I personally didn't like IX but X and VI are my personal fav.

Shadow Hearts 2 covenant is another game I love. I hope one day someone can make remake, I would be delighted

Final Fantasy VIII is great and you are always the first to defend it in the comments

Crazy to think the WII is to the Switch 2, as the NES was to the WII back then. 20 Year difference.

jznrpg64d ago

My wife asks me to bust it out (heh) everyone once in a while to play bowling and tennis with the kids. There was a ton of slop on it but some good stuff as well.

Smellsforfree63d ago

Wii was great but boy howdy did it cause Microsoft to go on a dark walk with the Kinect and the disastrous XBox One launch that they arguably never recovered from.

Loktai63d ago

Not nostalgic for me.. I was there.. anyone who wasnt a little kid realized it was a gamecube with shit tacked onto it, it was the "joke" system and was well below even the switch in terms of comparing it to the latest machines at the time. The machine was well loved by young people and "casual gamers" who now remember it 20 years on, or in most cases more of its sales came in the 15-20 years ago range not right at launch- but again its not nostalgic for people who were "gamers" then really, just for those who ended up with one in their house, the games , graphics, interface and online features were archaic already in 2006.
