Because it's awesome! There's nothing quite like hooking up with your friends to take down a fearsome foe together with nothing but blades and hammers. Co-op is a very neglected feature in gaming, usually sacrificed for random deathmatch PVP shooters.
I've been playing MH since the PS2 and migrated to the PSP. Still waiting on my PS3 and Vita versions, Capcom!
