Games arent the issue with the xbox one.. The system is whats wrong.. All the BS with installing, always on, used games, etc.. I dont give a damn what games they show, the problems with it wont go away

so if Microsoft said " You all are right. We don't need anything but games on the console, We will remove all apps, drop Kinect, remove xbox live to cater to people who cant afford internet, make it look like a ps3, and name it xbox 3. Would anyone want it then?

I guess I am just confused on why so many people hate on people just trying to give you more options. I get the game trade in thing, but lets wait and see what their true motives are.

As for all the people wearing the armadillo hats talking about Microsoft taking over the world and spying on them in their living rooms. You need to get out more! I mean seriously. If you are that scared about your privacy and really think that Microsoft is secretly putting Kinect in your house to spy on you. You have issues, plain and simple and you should never leave your house.

All in all I think Microsoft is pretty ballsy for stepping out of the box and trying something new. Good for them and I wish them the best of luck

The biggest problem we have in the market nowadays is that companies want to make devices capable of doing everything, except for what the damn thing is supposed to do in the first place.

Ok I've been reading n4g for a long time now and what I have come to discover is, most of the writers here like to pull stuff out of there butts. Usually it is just a rumor that they decide to call facts. All this talk about the Xbox One not being a game system is absolutely stupid. Did they remove games all together? No. Did MS confirm anything about used games? No. Have they made any official statement to the vast questions some you people have? No.

One N4G is definitely a Play Station place, so if you are looking for articles that are equal you came to the wrong site. The Xbox one will be able to run games just as well as the PS4. Yes the PS4 is more for core gamers but some of the specs that the ps4 has are unnecessary for next Gen gaming. But that's all the ps4 is, gaming. Does it really frighten all the Sony fans this much that Xbox was able to create a system that not only can be for core gamers and casuals, but also made it family friendly. Obviously Sony fans are scared, other wise there wouldn't be an artical everyday about how the Xbox will fail. Ontop of that 91% of these articles are full of nothing but rumors and speculation, no REAL facts. If I was a Sony fan I would be scared too, a system that can play games along with having a social aspect to it.

I'm not flaming on the PS4 though, it is impressive in its own ways. Unfortunately to me it looks like MS made the real step towards the next generation of entertainment.

i was really looking forward to the xbox reveal.tbh i thought it had a decent set of new features plus the idea of dedicated servers for every game is a great idea. im sad to say though the negatives far outweigh the positives. im willing to wait till e3 for more clarification from msoft but more PR bs isnt goint to cut it.

Great article. I guess sony is really the saviour of gaming afterall. My choice as it is, PS4 or the wii u. There's just no way I'm getting xbone. I just wanna play games.mostly Offline. Not cable boxing kinecting camera staring at me in my living room. I was a hardcore microsoft fan. I'm so jumping into the sony ps4 bandwagon. Maybe even nintendo too.

And being honest I am dude.I own an xbox and a xbox360. Xbone is utter rubbish.

Well I game on my PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and my GF's Wii every now and then so I consider myself a loyal gamer first and foremost.

That said I game on my 360 mostly.

My thought on the XBone is it's a total disaster, I don't know what in the world M$ is thinking.

My major issues are these.

1. Kinect.
Why does it have to be always connected and why does it always have to be on?
I don't like the intrusion into my living room AND I have absolutely no use for it, I don't play Kinect games and I don't wave my hands around like an idiot to change blades on the dashboard.
Why add extra cost to your system for something I don't want?
Why force it on me?

2. Used, rented or borrowed games.
I think we all have read enough on the subject (and still know very little) to know what I'm talking about.

3. Game installs, DRM and an internet connection.

The system is only going to have 500gb, a blu ray holds 25gb so if a dev uses the full 25gb that totals 20 games you can put on your machine, you still have game saves, DLC, Avatar items on other stuff you may want to save.
Granted the install may not need the full 25gb or the dev might not use it all but I think you see where I'm coming from. 500 gb will go fast.

DRM.
I'm not the thief here, stop treating me that way, nuff said.

Internet connection.
Thankfully I now have HSI but the the first 3 years of my 360's life I had to get system and updates via disk downloads on a dial up connection and trust me it sucked.
That said I was still able to play the 360 right out of the box, now you won't.

4. The focus on TV and other gimmicks I don't use.
Do I really need to go into this?

5. Backwards Compatibility.
This is not a total deal breaker but it adds another check mark in the negative column.
You can't call your box ONE when I need another system to play a game under the same name brand.

6. The name.
I know this is petty and not a deal breaker but I'm on a roll now.
How can it cover all my bases wen i still need other devices hooked to it to make it do all those things.
You don't replace my cable box/DVR, those thongs still need to be connected.

7. M$'s arrogance and ignorance.
In all honesty I have a hard time supporting a company that is not trying to conceal it's greed and has no idea what I want or need as a consumer.
You think because it has the Xbox brand on it I'm just going to run out and buy it?
Didn't you learn anything from Sony's mistake?

All that being said it's it's current state I will NOT be buying it.

Keep them guessing ms love your work.

I m waiting for e3 2013 after that i will decide which next gen console ps4 or xbox one microsoft said they have 15 exclusive games impressive very exited for rare and remdey's games forza and ryse will also so good

If the One succeeds, gaming is officially dead.

It would be so funny if Sony have the same restriction as MS during the PS4 announcement at E3. N4G would have a meltdown and I expect 3/4 of them to go back to their caves like pre-MS conference and won't show their face again. I hope it is not true because the PS4 is the system I am planning to get at this point but to see the spins and meltdowns on Sony fanboys' faces might be well worth it for the cr@p they are saying on every MS articles without 100% sure what the whole plans are for both sides.

If I get one and its a big if, I'll be turning the Xbox off at the wall whenever it's not in use. Job done

im here im also a xbox fan but based what ive seen with the new xbox one im very disapointed. im not impressed and im not getting an xbox one

MS is the cheapest Huge Corporation I've ever encountered. The only thing that kept me on 360 was that my love of games outweighed my complete dissatisfaction with MS. 360 had better looking multiplats and better exclusives as recently as 3 years ago.

This gen PS4 looks to destroy them in both regards so there's nothing to stem gamer frustration.

MS is cheap to the point of stupidity. Little things like making it extra-difficult to cancel Live subscriptions, MS points, pricing everything to ensure that the amount of points you buy never corresponds to store pricing, RROD refurb consoles, breaking multiple times but instead of sending a new console continue to send cheap refurbs, charging to have online mp access, charging before you can use services you already paid for like netflix, pricing harddrives 4x higher than anywhere else because there propriety, selling 360 as 20 gigs when it was 13.7 (total lie, should have sold it as 15 gig) etc, not allowing Live user discounts on content, charging higher prices than any other media service for everything (movies, music, TV).

As an early 360 adopter, I hope Xbox One fails miserably. MS took advantage all generation and got away with murder but they had the better/better running games up until recently.

All that is stated in this article are rumours. A malicious attempt by one of many sony fans on this site to damage the reputation of a console that is a major threat to their beloved ps4. Microsoft hasn't confirmed anything yet and here we have more and more rumors everyday to cast a shadow over xbox one

i for one am sick of the rumors. msoft says alot by not debunking them though. im hoping e3 will shed some light on some of the questions we all have. after the ps4 reveal there was article after article from devs stating their happiness with sony and the direction they are taking with their console. i havent seen the same for xbox one. i could be wrong.any links would help.
