Arc System Works is Using WHAT for Next Guilty Gear

Arc System Works recently announced at their Arc System Works Festival that the next Guilty Gear fighting game is in development, and is titled Guilty Gear Xrd – SIGN - … But that’s not the really interesting part. They’ve also announced that they’ve acquired a license for Unreal Engine 3 developing Xrd. Say whaaaaaaat?!

looks the same tbh

I think it looks even better! Man, I was blown away by that trailer, and I'm not a huge Guilty Gear fan. It really made me want the game though. :]

Just as long as Millia Rage and May return, I'll be happy. We already know they'll get the graphics end of things on lock.

They will eventually release them all. Bit by bit, annualy, in about three to four iterations...

OT: That's a damn good cell shading. Day one, and probably year 4 for the XX//##$$ version.

That's what's so amazing about it. Either they've done a great job w/ cel shading the 3D models, or they're doing 2D-on-3D. Hard to say this early on, though!

Watch the end of the trailer, I'm pretty sure thats Millia and you can just see Zato before it ends

I can pretty much only tell because I was told beforehand, but it looks damn good.

Looks so good so far. Seems the combos seems slower during execution though, wondering if that's through editing and intentionally slowing the gameplay or not.

I'm also wondering what the target platforms are. Is this for current gen and later on ported to next gen consoles, or is this being in development for next gen consoles.

Either way, I am excited for this game as I enjoyed the previous ones in the series a lot on the PS2.

I don't like that they made Sol Badguy have so many muscles. He doesn't even looks like Kiske's rival anymore, is more like: get out or I eat you!
