Fallout 4: Expectations and Possibilities

Gi - With Bethesda finally wrapping up content for Skyrim, fans of Bethesda’s other popular sandbox RPG franchise might be wondering where Fallout 4 is. Several months ago, Three Dog’s voice actor—Erik Todd Dellums—hinted that Three Dog would be making a return in the near future, a statement he says he made with the developer’s blessing. Naturally, this vague little tidbit could possibly imply some kind of film or television adaptation or a spin-off game instead of a new main series game, but with almost two years having passed since the release of the last Fallout: New Vegas DLC, an announcement related to the next main game would make the most sense.

I would like them to take more of a horror factor to fallout 4. Very dark nights , constant need of a pipboy light

Pintheshadows4749d ago

They could go down a STALKER route and have pitch black nights and interiors.

this is getting weird… fallout 4 is the most talked about non-announced game by a landslide. every 2 or 3 days I see one of these articles. the fallouts are in my top 5 games this gen, but I have the impression that the community in general preferred other games. there's nearly no talk about red dead redemption, uncharted 3, just cause 2, portal 2, sleeping dogs, LA noire, LBP2, valkyria chronicles 3, persona 4, catherine, nier… sequels

ok after listing a few titles I realize that most great games this ten have had sequels or the debs are known to work on something else.(except RDR)

Until it is announced... why even bother.

They need to look at Morrowind and see what the progression should have been from there instead of the regression we got with the next 2 games. They weren’t horrible games but they could have been so much more.

Fallout 4 just felt too streamlined and accessible to me, the perk system was not as fun as it was in Fallout 3, not saying Fallout 3 didn't have issues but 4 just felt like a complete step back.

So the part where you just sold the same games for the last 10 years while you focused on 76 and merch, was not a reset from the "creative" aspect eh? How very Todd of you.

I bought Fallout 4 (I loved Fallout 3) at launch and I couldn't bring myself to finish it or even get close to finishing it. It was soooo damned boring and bland. I played on a very hard difficulty and I had hundreds of stimpaks. One of the only games I've played for a while and not ended up finishing it. I hated it. Just flat out hated it.
