Cannon Brawl is a really cool 2D strategy game from Turtle Sandbox. Imagine, if you will, a Real-Time Strategy Worms; where gathering resources and strategic placing of weaponry is important. Currently in development for PC & Xbox, Cannon Brawl is in Alpha at the moment and former Maxis employees, Turtle Sandbox are enjoying a great amount of positive feedback from publications all around. The game’s prototype even won the 2011 Activision Independent Games Competition. Just comparing the game to Worms feels a bit dismissive to me as there’s a lot more in it. So to best describe the game I spoke to Peter Angstadt, the creator of Cannon Brawl.
